Is he a godlike kobold?
"No, the Singularity will not happen. Computation is hard." -Happy EntNo, but he does talk to God.
...eventually, we will reach a maximum entropy state where nobody has their own socks or underwear, or knows who to ask to get them back. For some reason, while reading the synopsis of that manga, I immidiatly suspect that this whole story is some sort of metaphor of an autistic kid living in a world where that he does not understand.
I know that I am probably way of, but I just thought that this would be a neat concept as well.
Great, now I'm going to have to think of it like that.

...eventually, we will reach a maximum entropy state where nobody has their own socks or underwear, or knows who to ask to get them back.Well, read the first chapter. Has some promise, certainly. Hope it can keep it up.
Interesting how the writer made the protagonist and his family like that. It seems like a good way to show the absurdity in some very serious RL issues.
Read the first chapter. Cool beans. Will be keeping up. The art style reminds me of Naoki Urasawa. I'll probably be seeing some of the other stuff by the same author.

I am of the opinion that God's face needs to be on a shirt.
@ Kayeka: I think you're on to something. However,it's got a lot in common with a few of the public service information films I used to watch as a child. It's disturbing.
EDIT:The only decent member of his family is a Dirty Old Man. And the boys in his class have invited him to come along and sneakily watch porn. Um...
EDIT EDIT: And now he's had his first "nighttime emission". Dropping... now.

Reality is that which, when you stop believing in it, doesn't go away.Hmmm, it's getting a bit too real for me too, really. Real Life is depressing, so I don't really feel like reading something that just seems to love portraying life exactly as it is.
I'll just read till the third volume, and see if it stays like this. Honestly, I give kudos to the writer for pulling of some awesome stuff, but this just doesn't look like my genre.
I have to get to reading this soon. Asano Inio is a mangaka that I like. His art is appealing to me and I enjoyed Solanin. So it is weird and portrays life as it is. That is nice. I like things of that sort. Yes...GIVE ME LIFE AS IT IS!
If someone wants to accuse us of eating coconut shells, then that's their business. We know what we're doing. - Achaan ChahKayeka, if anything, it gets darker and more depressing. The writing is pretty brilliant though; some of it is really moving.

His ankle's fucked up, evidently. I don't think that it's explicitly stated.
[1] This facsimile operated in part by synAC.Oh, so I'm not retarded :D.
I read further, something about his Achilles Tendon. Stupid manga for not being more explicit about it...
I know, right? They're like held up by internal wiring or something.

I get the feeling that she used to be a lot like Punpun before... giving up, at some point.
[1] This facsimile operated in part by synAC.^ Orly? Punpun's uncle described her different.
I know. Somehow it keeps doing that again and again.

...eventually, we will reach a maximum entropy state where nobody has their own socks or underwear, or knows who to ask to get them back.I think that it will end when Punpun becomes an "adult", whenever that is. It's a bildungsroman.

And now, for something completely different.
Oyasumi Punpun is a very strange manga. Even if the main character weren't a Silent Protagonist bird... thing, it would still be pretty damn unusual. Some of the quirks are seriously funny though, and the plot so far seems legitimately moving.
