So, opinions on the latest Board James?
It looks like the series is heading for a possible Downer Ending, since it says the finale will air in December. And after it looked like James hadn't been arrested and imprisoned like it seemed at the end of "Dream Phone", and after it looked like he hadn't really killed anybody after all, it now appears he is a serial killer and has hallucinated the whole series up to this point as a way of escaping the horrors of prison or something. Shit.

^^Huh, is he going to do horror movies afterwards or something? xD
He'd probably be good at it if he did, but I think he's more likely to focus on Nerd episodes or other Cinemassacre stuff like James & Mike Mondays.
Fridge Logic: if Board James is a Split Personality of the Nerd, it does kind of raise the question of how real the Nerd's world has been.
I get that Board James has become an avenue for James to indulge his passion for making horror movies, but I'm not crazy about the dark turn the show has taken. I miss episodes like "Tornado Rex", "Shark Attack", and "Donut Disaster" which were all about the comedy.
Well, we're talking about somebody who's shit on and got beaten up by Bugs Bunny, encountered both Jason Voorhees and Freddy Kruger, and fought a gigantic R.O.B. the Robot and the Devil with Super Mecha Death Christ helping out.
A fan of anime, music, and movies. What I mean is, have all of the Nerd's adventures just been hallucinations by Board James too? Or did they actually happen in a world where those kinds of occurrences are possible?
Mike Matei is streaming Mario Maker on You Tube right now and can't figure out how to use even simple menus. It's super frustrating. It's like watching my dad try to play a video game.
Insert witty 'n clever quip here.He Rage Quit and killed the stream right after he learned about auto levels and their popularity. I hate em too but that was a little too much.
Odd that he ran into one in the normal 100 Mario challenge.
Where do I find this stream?
I tend to find them in the normal one too, usually ones that aren't labeled with "auto" or "don't move".
Apparently (or so he claimed after the stream went down) he "got booted," but with how much he was bitching about every little thing, nor sure I buy it. The chat tried helping him for everything, from as simple as opening a menu to helping him figure how some newer controls and mechanics work, but either he ignored the chat or just looked at either the least helpful people or ones who just parroted his opinions, and then blamed the game for his refusal to learn very simple things. Half the stream was him basically being a genwunner with Mario. And yeah, his complaining about auto levels just sucked. I'd think as purportedly a creative person he would have been able to appreciate the effort put into making one, but no, just call them stupid and ragequit.
To be honest, I've never liked Mike even a little bit, and this stream did absolutely nothing to endear me to him.
It might be up on the You Tube channel, bit I haven't checked if he archived it.

Insert witty 'n clever quip here.Okay, he hasn't uploaded that or the NES Remix stream that followed it (didn't even bother with that one), but he did put out there this angry tweet. I actually kind of hope he does that, just so I can see people's responses to it. It's an obvious clickbait move, but in this case, I don't really care.

Insert witty 'n clever quip here.Huh, I thought I did see an NES Remix stream somewhere on there, but now it must be gone.
I don't mind Mike but if he did indeed Rage Quit over auto levels, that's making a mountain out of a mole hill. Yeah I'm not a fan of the auto levels either but there are plenty of traditional Mario levels in the game.
Ultimately, unlike a lot of video games, Super Mario Maker is defined by the users. Don't like auto levels? Don't star them, or even comment on them (as that auto-stars), and maybe they'll slowly lose popularity and go away.
Yikes. Well, he was streaming at really, really early morning. Maybe he was just real tired or groggy. Then again, Mike's been known to be much of a silencer on some points.
A fan of anime, music, and movies. That's another thing, he didn't understand that starring a course was how you favorite them, and he refused to use the Gamepad to make navigating the menu to get there easier for himself. I'm pretty sure he pretty much said "fuck the Gamepad", but I don't totally remember.
And even despite all this, everyone still kept telling him to play Ross's stages (and he had no idea who Ross was, but eh, whatever for that).

Insert witty 'n clever quip here.Nice, this looks like the start of a side series! The Nerd could have a field day with bad game covers.
And of course half the comment section is talking about Mega Man. I'm sure he'll get to it, just not right away. Too obvious.
Insert witty 'n clever quip here.We need to go gamer!
What the hell did I just watch?

The world will look up and shout "Save us", and I'll look down and whisper "Too bad, Waluigi Time" Vote Loki 2016That was very strange. I was hoping for more answers than we got.
Hmm, if the future holds alternating AVGN and Board James episodes, that sounds good to me. I was a bit worried that we'd seen the end of Board James after the last episode where he turned into the Nerd, so I'm glad to see that's not the case.
