"Eventful" is a very nice way of putting it, but yeah, it has been.

In any case, now that the recent drama-bomb seems to have passed, let's get back to our regularly-scheduled posting. No sense in letting something like that sour things for us.

Nick Fury better hope he dies here. If he lives through this, Rogue is going to kill him.

A call for healers, huh? Looks like I'm up to post in the morning, then. I think Beryl might be the only dedicated healer the group has left at the moment. All that medical knowledge she doesn't have is going to come in handy.

Well, to be fair, she doesn't know Agatha's knowledge and she went to Miss Sorceress Supreme after telling Kyle to get over to Fury. Besides, it's not like they can drag Fury's dying body back to camp to get a doctor, no matter how much Rogue would like to.

Kyle does have Force Heal, but I wager that if Nick's in such dire straits*

he will only be able to heal Nick partially (after all, Kyle's not a dedicated healer, and he's mostly used to healing himself with Force Heal rather than others).

Ah. It's just normally when someone busts out that idiom it means something's gone wrong for them.

@ flanker: Kyle's telekinesis might be of more use than force heal, for removing the bullets.

@Gaunt:

True. I think the idea would be:

1) get him to a safe place

2) get the bullets out (assuming that wouldn't make the wounds worse)

3) Force Heal!

4) ???

5) PROFIT

Anyway, don't expect a post for a while yet - I'm kind of busy.

EDIT:

The MMFRPG, folks: it's the only RP where you'll find people debating the best way to deal with a character's gunshot wounds.

Locking you up on radar since '09

All our business is serious business.

So, a few people have told me that some people feel I acted unfairly during the recent blow-up, so I'd just like to clear a few things up so that there aren't any misconceptions. As always, this is not intended to start an argument, and it's not intended to call out anyone in particular.

But at the same time, it is an opportunity for the people in the MMF to tell me if, after I've explained a bit about my side, whether or not they still feel I was unreasonable. If you don't feel comfortable expressing one opinion or another here, feel free to PM me.

I'd just like to stress again that this is not an attempt to antagonize anyone or to call anyone out. This is just my way of clearing up a few perceptions that I've been told some people outside the game, at least, have.

1. There is no vast, fabricated conspiracy against Moerin.

First of all, I didn't lie about why I and a large number of others would rather Moerin not be in the game. It is not due solely to their actions just before leaving AGOG, and it is not due solely to their actions the last time they tried to join MMF. It is both of those and several smaller things all compounded together. As I said yesterday, these are all things I would still rather not recount here, because all I would accomplish would be to start an argument or hurt Moerin's reputation, neither of which are things I set out to do.

Suffice to say, as before, I and at least nine others, whose names I'm not going to reveal because all that would do is cause them to be ostracized in other R Ps containing people who feel we've been unfair, have our reasons for not wanting Moerin in the game. We did not make them up, we did not start a conspiracy to try and hurt her, we did not lie about them. All we did was tell them to drop an argument, then present our own side of the story and our own evidence to the mods when we were asked to. I was by no means the only person who was asked to chime in on the issue, and what I said was more a collection of our opinions than just my own.

2. I did not "trick" Ragna into getting banned.

What you all saw in the thread was, aside from a few surprisingly-calm P Ms we exchanged yesterday morning and early afternoon, literally 100% of our argument. Ragna's name didn't even come up when I was telling the mod why we didn't want Moerin in the game. I realize some of Ragna's posts were thumped, but mine are still on there. Was there a single post in there that looked like trickery or baiting of any kind to you guys? All I was trying to do was get people to drop it and not make an enormous drama explosion.

I mean, I wasn't exactly able to stop it from happening, but I'd have gladly just dropped the issue if Ragna had dropped it at any point, but he didn't, and that's why the mod was called in the first place. I didn't say a single thing to the mod between calling him/her and Ragna's posts being thumped. The only information I provided was what was asked of me, which didn't happen until about an hour after the thumping.

3. I don't feel that I am a totalitarian or Orwellian GM.

This one is obviously less fact and more opinion, but there are a few people, mostly those outside the MMF, from what I know, who seem to believe that I am some sort of control freak who absolutely must have things go exactly my way. I understand that part of this is likely due to the fact that the people who believe that are not in the story-building Skype channel where the majority of rules and plot discussion occurs, but I like to think that I'm a pretty flexible person who isn't afraid to change things as long as it makes sense and doesn't ruin game balance and the like. I also like to think that this has been reflected in my actions and words in the past.

There are a lot of things I've had to undo or modify because someone pointed out a problem with it. I don't mind that, as long as it makes sense, fits the game's tone, and doesn't make game balance all wonky. I obviously can't read minds, but I sincerely hope that that's all clear to you guys.

In any case, to be less-than-brief, I'd like to hear from the rest of the MMF on this, since a GM is really only as strong as the players he writes for. If, after reading all this, you still feel I was being unreasonable, feel free to let me know. I'm not going to be upset with you or yell at you or any of that, and I'm certainly not going to "trick" you into getting banned.

I'm not going to state our exact reasons for keeping Moerin out, and I don't want to start getting P Ms from people trying to convince me to change my mind about Moerin, but if there's anything else you'd like to ask or get some clarification on, please don't hesitate to ask either here or via P Ms.

Alternately, let me know if you feel like I'm doing a good job. I genuinely want to get a feel for what you guys think.

Well, I definitely don't think you're an Orwellian GM in the slightest, and... speaking as one of the ten people, I know that there isn't a conspiracy against Moerin. I guess I might come across as biased here due to being one of those ten, but... well, maybe I am biased, but I still think I'm right, and I think you were right in this whole drama too.

And I was there for what happened with Ragna. Nobody "tricked" anybody. He wouldn't let an argument drop despite having been told multiple times to do so, even after being banned from the MMF. The mods were called in purely so that the argument would end, and the side-effect of that was him getting banned.

So yeah. Um... just to let everyone know, I'm vouching for Thunder wholeheartedly here.

Since I haven't had to deal with this kind of wound yet. Great idea on Kyle using the force to pull out the bullets. He does that and I think Lina and Beryl can do the rest.

Anyways, I have no idea what you guys are talking as far as the not-in-story RP drama and ignorance is bliss.

You guys are free to have a fight anywhere you want to, but interfering with an innocent girl’s meal is unforgivable.

I cannot remember what happened first time, but I still think you acted fairly.

Although you may not need to preface everything with "This isn't meant to start an argument", it does seem a bit like a copout for the purpose being offensive, whether the post says so or not; being reasonable should be able to speak for itself, and it usually does in your posts.

It isn't meant to be a cop-out, but thanks for the feedback. Honestly, more than anything, it's paranoia after some people have tried to make me look like the bad guy in situations like this.

I appreciate that you think I tend to come across as fair, though.

Since I was only here for the aftermath, I won't comment. But then I wouldn't have anything intelligent to say anyway. I never do.

I have no strong opinions, not remembering much of the event, but I don't see anyone as 'the bad guy'.

Now, an FYI that I'm going to post and possibly copypost elsewhere.

Quick update on my computer faults: I am near to getting it sorted, and by 'near to' I mean 'in the proximity of', and by 'getting it sorted' I mean 'a charge cable in this very household. Due to communication hiccups of sitcom proportions, it's not exactly reliable, but one thing it is is better than nothing, and I might just be posting here a lot more in the weeks to come.

And if the stars are right, I'll post more than my previously usual rate.
