Raildex verse (A Certain Magical Index, A Certain Scientific Railgun, A Certain Scientific Accelerator)

That's basically what an Anti-Mage like Touma is. He is an unholy terror to superpowered foes because they rely on their powers too often and thus are very poor at physical combat unlike Touma.

However, Touma has a much harder time against martial artists or superior physical fighters like Tsuchimikado, or magicians who don't rely that much on their powers like Kanzaki and Acqua.

So what do you say about Touma vs the real Wataru Kurozuma?

Well it's not as though the Saints don't use their powers. It's just that they also have powers that are really hard for Touma to imagine breaker.

That might be as well. Also, IIRC, the members of GREMLIN used magic specifically designed to counter Imagine Breaker. It was explained why Touma has very little chance of beating a Magic God, even with IB.

Since a Magic God has a 50% chance of winning against the most powerful opponent and yet has a 50% chance of losing against the least powerful opponent, and Touma is known for his incredibly bad luck, IB gets horribly beaten by the luck check.

Kinda wish Touma would face more martial artists and or at least mages/espers who aren't so squishy. Not so much because I want to see his ass kicked, but to actually see some development in his abilities.

But to be fair to him, Touma can be pretty resourceful can't he?

Hm. More dubbed episodes are out. Is it early, or did I just get the date wrong?

Anyway, Dubcellerator isn't as screechy as in the original. Haven't seen enough yet to tell if that's a good thing or not. Oh, and they decided to translate Kuroko's onee-sama to "Sissy" after all (for the Sisters, they just used sister). I mean, it works in context, since it's presented as an embarrassing nickname rather than an out-of-place use of an honorific, but still...sissy? And it completely misses the lesbian subtext, but I guess that was just unavoidable.

As usual, I reject the existence of this dub, like many others.

Oh stop being a negative nancy, Augustine. I've watched some clips from the dub, and from the voices I've heard (Touma, Mikoto, Kanzaki) it doesn't seem like they did that bad of a job. Of course Index is still annoying as fuck, perhaps even moreso in English, but that was unavoidable, really.

Not making Index annoying is kind of a tall order.

Hell it would be out of character.

Well if their aim was to make her even more intolerable, they succeeded. By God they succeeded.

Well the more people that hate the headcrab the better.

See, the more annoying Index is, the more we realize how truly unlucky Touma is. He has to live with that thing.

And he doesn't even know why.

Such misfortune.

For a city full of scientists, they are awfully slow when dealing with headcrabs.

Because crowbar use isn't an esper power.
