Wasn't the Shadow dungeon not only Kanji's doubts and fears but other people's perceptions especially after seeing Midnight Channel shit?
Because it's a pretty good explanation on why his dungeon was so camp gay awful. You literally can blame other assholes and their views on different sexualities.
His shadow was based on what people had said about him based on his interests in crafts and such. because he liked crafts he had to be gay, so his shadow was every gay stereotype imaginable. Talking with him later he describes badgering and getting laughed at and such, mostly by girls, when he tried to talk about crafts and showing his skill.
The MC and Naoto were the first people his own age that seemed to respect his interests and liked them both for that, he was responsive to anyone who would accept him for whatever he is.
It's an issue he faces every day, even where you go to talk to him to do his slink he is looking at the window to the crafts club from the hall.

Yosuke's problem is not that he's bored, dammit. It's that he can't respect himself unless he feels like a big shot. He says he has all these biiig plans and resents being stuck in this one-horse burg, maaan, but the truth is that he latches onto his big city origins because he doesn't think he has anything else to be proud of. His self-esteem hinges on feeling superior to the people around him.
His dungeon is about admitting that he's not too good for Inaba. It's about learning to love his community.
I mean, nobody has to like the game, but for all this talk about it being unsubtle, a lot of really obvious things are being ignored.
(Come to think of it, Too Good For This One Horse Burg should be a trope.)
Is that a Wocket in your pocket, or are you just happy to see me?Yosuke doesn't have a dungeon. He has a Shadow yes, but no dungeon for the Butt-Monkey.
Guess they didn't feel like making a Shopping Mall from Hell and just decided to keep using the shopping district of hell.
Wake me up at your own risk.Chie and Yosuke don't create dungeons because they're not in the TV world long enough. Everyone else in there was in for, like, days.
Plus, their issues tie into Yukiko and Saki, so they can just piggyback on their areas.
Heart of StoneShadow Yosuke is a frog, something I only noticed recently.
Cause it later turns into Jiraiya. Get it?
Then his shadow is a toad then not a frog.
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."Frog in the well, perhaps.
Does Japanese even distinguish between frogs and toads?

Right, I said "dungeon" but meant "arc," I guess.
Although, that is something to consider. If Yosuke and Chie had dungeons, what would they be like?
Is that a Wocket in your pocket, or are you just happy to see me?A giant toy shopping mall for Yosuke. Why a toy? Because that's the silly reason for Jiraiya being a toy frog. Yosukes sees it as a toy.
A dominatrix themed sports cented.
Every accusation by the GOP is ALWAYS a confession.I think Chie's would be absolutely filled with funhouse mirrors. Magic ones, of course, that perhaps distort not only appearances but also relationships.

But Chie isn't ashamed of her sportiness. She does seem afraid of being seen as insufficiently feminine, though (note: she talks openly and enthusiastically about liking/practicing kung fu, but lies about her favorite food being fsteak).
Also, an entire toy shopping mall? A single toy store isn't enough?
Is that a Wocket in your pocket, or are you just happy to see me?Well her shadow is distorting her relationship to Yukiko, so having the strength to do that would help her. She wants Yukiko to depend on her afterall. So a sports center where she can get stronger while dominating her victims.
Every accusation by the GOP is ALWAYS a confession. It would probably be set in the school but the theme would be about puppets, strings and whips.
So I've started checking out Youtube Walkthrough of Persona 5.
Nothing much to say so far. I had to stop because NXT Takeover is about to start, but I'll pick it back up again after. Also it was hard to find a walkthrough of it on Youtube where the parts weren't 1-2 hours long at a time. I'm not willing to spend that much time watching a youtube video, but fortunately, I was able to get a good one. With no commentary too, since I hate the yappings of Lets Players.

One Strip! One Strip!Persona 5's got its own thread, mate.
Really from Jupiter, but not an alien.Well it's a spoiler thread so I'm not ready to go there and get spoiled yet.
Plus, I kept my report vague because I don't want to spoil it for anyone.
I'll head there at some point, but I'll have to be careful.
One Strip! One Strip!Until then, could you kindly not talk about it here?
There are no spoilers on the latest page of the P5 thread. So long as you don't go back, you should be just fine.
This song needs more love.Excellent. I'll head there then.
One Strip! One Strip! To be fair, Rob said basically nothing about Persona 5 itself beyond saying he's watching a walkthrough of it.
Let's see if you can get past my Beelzemon. Mephiles, WARP SHINKA!
Yes and no, there is a lot of gay characters in works and such now however works are made to be pander to specific demographics. Yuri On Ice and Free was made specifically to pander to the Fujoshi and everything in it is just to do just that. Same for Yuri shows like Sakura Trick etc.
Quality characters and stories are just a possible upside but first and foremost is pandering.
But it was no different than Sailor Moon back in the day, it was just pandering to a completely different demographic and the lesbians were just a side thing.
