I think he's referring to the scene where Dr. Manhattan talks about losing his faith.
More Buscemi at http://forum.reelsociety.com/That had nothing to do with Watchman lol. Kind of why they're separated.
Lemme start off I LOVE popcorn flicks most of the time. I enjoyed Battle LA.
Okay, just got back from seeing it, and I'm glad we used a gift card (although I should have saved it for Thor)
Maybe its my fault for not looking it up but I figured it was going to be a popcorn action movie (the action scenes WERE cool however)
Instead we got some weird ass movie about "escorts" and a mental hospital I think or...something.
Either way I hated it, despite me coming in with really high expectations and wanting to have fun. The action parts kicked ass but the "real world" (I think) was just overly depressing and bland.
Last time I avoid reading reviews/what people tell me to avoid "ruining the surprise"

I watched the movie. I liked it. The music was awesome, the spiecal effects were specular...however, it was a little lax on the character development.
Let's say it's a Gainax Ending with a Bittersweet Ending. Sweetpea escapes, and justice might be served, but Babydoll is lobotized, the others died, and it turned out most of it was a dream. But if its Babydoll's, how did she know who was the bus driver?
By the way, who played the Wise Man? I can't pin him down.
Scott Glenn played him (my thoughts when I saw him in the trailer were "Did he need the money this bad?"). He's in all kinds of films (more recently, he played Diane Lane's father in Secretariat, Donald Rumsfeld in W. and a widower of one of Richard Gere's patients in Nights in Rodanthe).

More Buscemi at http://forum.reelsociety.com/His voice sounded familar, but I hadn't seen any of the movies he had been in. Strange.
Also, him being The Bus Driver at the end added to the Gainax Ending.
Guns, breasts, swords, guns, robots, explosions steam-punk Nazi zombies, and more guns...Sucker Punch was awesome.
My dad obbessed over the "cute girls in skirts" aspect too much.
Did you wish Blondie and Amber had more Characterization?
Yes.
Pretty... good-okay. Wayyyyyy too much shaky cam. Could have been better, but, erm, action film.
Was Jack Mackerel. | i rite gudThe action during the robot scene was a little too unfocused, but the music when we see The Mayor was awesome.
I doubt Sucker Punch will get nominated for an Oscar, but if it does, it would either get one for Speical Effects or the soundtrack. There weren't enough costumes to get a Costume Design one.
EDIT: I don't get how this movie managed to be two hours long.

Ardiente: Proof/disproof of higher powers, not just religious institutions. And that article was some of the most pretentious stuff I've read in a while, jeez. But then again what do you expect from a site called Lesswrong?
I was expecting the Tropers to leach onto this one, due to its protenially Troperiffic nature...oh well.
I'd have to say the castle scene was the best.
You've got them flying around in an old B-24, some chick covering Iggy Pop's Search and Destroy, CQB inside a castle, another chick banging away on the .50, and A FUCKIN DRAGON.
Rocket...
So I guess I'm the only one who was turned off by this movie because the action scenes, while well done, were completely useless to the story and had no actual meaning?
I love action but it has to ACCOMPLISH something.
^She was in her happy place during the action scenes.
Right, which was stupid to me, since it means the action scenes had no meaning whatsoever, just her fantasizing.
To me the movie was like "Do you like balls to the wall crazy awesome like crank or shoot em up?" "Yeah!" "Too bad, here's a lousy plot about brothels or mental hospitals or something instead!"
I loved Watchman and 300, but I hated Scott Pilgrim. Will I like this movie? Is the dialogue and characterization really that bad? Are the fight scenes like 300's, where they were over the top but like art in motion as well, or were they more like Scoot pilgrim where they were just over the top?
And is it depressing as in the entertaining kind of depressing, or the souless, boring kind of depressing?
Boring soulless depression.
The angst in the movie is extremely out of place.
Its just...the movie lies so fucking much. I hate how the trailers make it sound like its gonna be this Crazy Awesome movie, instead we get some bad attempt at a psychological plot.
^^Do you like explosions, gunfights, swords, scantly clad women and more explosions?
If you answered yes to any of them you'll like this movie.
He'll only like 1/3rd of the movie

More like 2/3
I only like those things when done with a certain flair. Although the scantily clad women is always fun :P
That sounds depressing though, about the movie not living up to the hype :/

Certain flair? Shit is blowing up, rounds are going down range, and there's a cute little girl with a sword; this isn't Casablanca dude. Enjoy it.

Okay, I haven't seen Watchmen in awhile...explain?
