Just post whatever comes to mind.
Please refrain from excess venting in this thread. Talking about negative emotions is fine but it's best not to dwell on them for too long. TV Tropes is not suited to deal with mental health situations.
If Oscar Wilde had lived in our time, he would be a /b/tard.
Actually, scratch that. He does, and goes by Jethro Q Walrustitty.

Because a kid is singing it and therefore it's cute. Also because "Santa Claus" is obviously his dad.
It's one thing to make a spectacle. It's another to make a difference. One of my school's music teachers looks a helluva lot like an old Billy Joel.
“We’re all mad here. I’m mad. You’re mad.” - Lewis CarrollWouldn't that suggest then that the son is witnessing something he...probably shouldn't be at his age?
"What's the film where Jim Carrey is an evil uncle and there's three kids with magical powers?" - my mother just now, trying to remember what A Series of Unfortunate Events was called.

It's one thing to make a spectacle. It's another to make a difference.Ok so question. Am I the only one who rolls their eyes when a piece of media plays off a romantic relationship between two teenagers as a serious deal?
Apparently this version of Hyde looks like a Jojo's character. According to people who have seen that anime and I guess understand it.Are you the only one that's not a teenager?
It's one thing to make a spectacle. It's another to make a difference.I have no idea what you mean by that.
Apparently this version of Hyde looks like a Jojo's character. According to people who have seen that anime and I guess understand it.I mean, if you're not a teenager (and thus, not the demographic), you're probably gonna roll your eyes at something like that, so it's kind of a silly question.
It's one thing to make a spectacle. It's another to make a difference. This scene about the wreckage of a teen romance does not make me roll my eyes.
I do get what you mean about aging out of the demographic. I was just rewatching Avatar: The Last Airbender, and how seriously they took the romance between a 12 year old and 14 year old was much more ridiculous than I remembered back when I was 12.
That show is kinda dated in general. I remember really sitting down and watching it for the first time, like, a year or two ago, and thinking "This is definitely a product of the 2000s."
It's one thing to make a spectacle. It's another to make a difference.I never liked the romance in that show. There's a war going on I think there are more important things to be worrying about.

I got hit with a "To be continued..." x_x
I smell magic in the air. Or maybe barbecue.> I never liked the romance in that show. There's a war going on I think there are more important things to be worrying about.
Sometimes during situations like war people need things like romance in order to stay sane
New theme music also a boxNaze Turbine actually lampshaded the fact that high death rates sometimes result in high birth rates.
So, yeah, romance during wartime is perfectly applicable.
Spelunking through a Halo Ring is something else...Also, in real life, we had the baby boomer generation right after World War II. People thought life was fleeting and they should compensate by making more of life, so therefore, they had lots of babies!
Well I don't understand any of that either, but this might be something to do with the fact I'm ace and none of this stuff has been really of high importance to me.

“We’re all mad here. I’m mad. You’re mad.” - Lewis CarrollI think it's for the best if I stay out of the anime thread. Try to minimize my interaction with anime fandom as much as possible.

It's one thing to make a spectacle. It's another to make a difference. Not the first time something like that has happened. I really got into Emerson, Lake & Palmer's Karn Evil 9 last year and then Greg Lake died a few days later.

I still don't understand how a song about adultery is considered an appropriate Christmas song.
