It doesn't work on the forums, but elsewhere, a hotlinked image is when you link directly to an image somewhere on the internet in such a way that the image displays on your page (or post).

They're a shitty idea because eventually the source expires or gets taken down or something and you just have a generic "Sorry your picture died" image in its place forevermore.

If you want to display an image, what you should do instead of linking to wherever it's hosted, is host it yourself. That way, if the original source gets taken down, yours is unaffected; and if your site goes down, it's just down, there's no clumsy-looking dead image in an otherwise-fine site.

That's why the TVT wiki requires all images to be hosted on TVT instead of linked from elsewhere.

I binge-read Camp Weedonwantcha from Tuesday to Wednesday, I think? Very interesting comic. It has some dark and disturbing themes, but so far it has always had a silver lining that make it worth reading. Sometimes it's a little stupid, with all the poop jokes, but I have to say they do fit the setting very well. The comic is about a Camp populated solely by children who were abandoned there by their parents. The characters are lovable and the continuity and depth the comic builds over time is great.

I am 23 years old today. I discovered tv tropes when I was 15, and have been on the forum since I was 16.

How time fucking moves.

The first time I learned of this site was from Shane, last year on 1 April. To me it feels like this morning.

Why am I so nervous in asking my older sister to move her car so I can go hang out at a friend's house? Why can't I let my dad know I'll be going there too?

Oh yeah, because I feel like I'm being an inconvenience to her and dad will probably ask "why are you going to hang out with a boy alone?" Not like this boy already has a female interest and we've been friends for a while.

Mom will let me go, but she's out doing something and hasn't texted back.

I ended up pushing back the hang out time because of this...

I've owned this tv for more than a year, but I finally bought an antenna for it, mainly so that when it loses the signal from a device and jumps to TV input, it won't immediately cancel my attempt to switch to the input I want it to be listening to to nag me to set up channels (I actually did run channel setup, it just didn't find any without an antenna).

With this antenna, I'm unable to get the local Fox affiliate (no legit new Bob's Burgers or Simpsons for me) or the MyNetwork station. I also don't get the station that's syndicating MeTV, which was one of the staples back home, but there are plenty of other rerun networks I do get.

Of the stations I get, the PBS affiliate is the patchiest, because of course it is. It was back home too.

People will pay a lot for a new graphics engine and maybe one or two new gimmicks.

I'm surprised they haven't had a Paper Crane pokémon yet. It could be a Normal/Flying type, maybe with multiple forms or some ability related to folding itself. Then I kept going (names are placeholder):

Muppy (Ground/Ghost)
Mummy Puppy Pokémon. Evolves into an Anubis-inspired Pokémon.

?th Cat Pokémon (Normal)
Evolves into Felisphinx (Normal/Flying), a cat/sphinx Pokémon.

Brawleo (Fighting)
Probably a second or third stage Pokémon. It's a fighting lion that stands on two legs. Or maybe it could be a tiger, idk. Its signature move deals damage based on Speed rather than Attack. Maybe have an ability that reduces Attack and boosts Speed at the start of a match, or when its health drops below a certain %.

Tyrannosaur-mon (Rock/   Dark   )
A Fossil Pokémon. Looks like a prehistoric, flightless Druddigon. Its ability has a chance to cause flinching at the start of a battle, or gives a small chance for powerful moves to cause flinching, or increases the chance of moves that cause flinching to do so, idk. Also maybe Intimidate and/or something that increases Attack and reduces Defense.

Fun fact: only today I discovered they already had made a Tyrannosaurus Pokémon :< I still stand by my idea because I didn't like it that much :P

Fat Dragon (Dragon)
It's a dragon and it's fat. It's not lazy as Snorlax. Maybe. It's a powerful dragon, that eats a lot, then gets fat and goes back to its cave.

Goblin (   Dark   )
A small grey-skinned goblin that carries around an oversized wrench and wears black footed pants. Either evolves into a (Steel/   Dark   )-type or evolves into something that mega-evolves into that, because it starts piloting its own Giant Mecha.
