The Walking Dead

The new season will be starting before too long. From the looks of it they will be heading to someplace rather interesting.

Just FYI, if anyone's going to be at DragonCon this year (Aug 31-Sep 3, in Atlanta), several of the cast of TWD will be there. Madison Lintz (Sophia), Chandler Riggs (Carl), Stephen Yeun (Glenn), and James Allen McCune (Jimmy) are the ones I can currently find on the DC guest list.

Holy hell...

I just looked at Fridge.The Walking Dead, for moving a Fridge Logic entry from the Series.TWD page, and man is it a Thread Mode mess. Problem is that I'm not sure how to handle Fridge pages in general, as the rules are a little more loose than on the main pages (though not loose enough to allow Thread Mode).

Any suggestions on how to clean that up?

Umm, at first glance, I'd say do something against the enourmous wall of text. I haven't read recently, but I think a lot can be summarized a bit shorter. Not every point needs 23 sub points, but YMMV.

Already dropped a line in the Cleanup help needed thread, which is where ATT people would tell me to go anyway. Haven't had time to follow up on the situation on the fridge page though. At the very least I need to update the entry moved from the main page with the OP's name, since Fridge entries need to be signed and at least on that one entry I know who actually posted the original.

Back when the zombie attacked Daryl's deer, they decided against cutting away the gnawed part and eating the rest because of infection concerns. Why would they think cutting off Hershel's bit leg would do better, considering the whole "active circulation system" thing that the deer didn't have?

It worked in the comics for Dale, so it may work here.

Well, it's not like Herschel has an abundance of options. It's either the leg or death.

The deer had been eaten for a while. Hershel was bit for only a couple minutes. Plenty of room to be hopeful.

Well it took 3 seperate marathons but I finally was able to see every episode. That was aggravating.

I got a chuckle when it took them a while to figure out how to deal with the walkers in riot gear. That was amusing.

A groaner from the end of the Talking Dead show. After a viewer asked Greg Mazzara if the identity of the father of the baby would ever be revealed (GM dodged answering), Chris replies "If the baby comes out of Lori, and goes into Andrea, it's Shane's."

Just finished watching the start of S3 and it was excellent. I'm guessing that Hershel will be taking on some of Dale's traits from the comic if the ending was any indication. I also continue to love Maggie's characterization in the show. It's interesting seeing how the dynamics within the group have changed since the end of S2.

Also comparing the zombie-eaten deer to events in the new episode: All that was lost with giving up on the deer meat was a potential meal. The other matter is quite a bit more serious.

Just finished a marathon run of this show (Yay for special season premiere events and DVR!). I greatly enjoyed it.

I looked there, but couldn't find one central page for all the differences. I'd have to go to each individual page to find out.

Ok, show of hands: When Lori was giving Hershel CPR, how many of you were expecting he had turned zombie, and bit her, like with the webisode (which I've not seen, just read of on TVT)?

Though, at least for me it possibly could've been because I wanted that (mostly) useless bitch to die.

I knew it wouldn't happen, because they wouldn't spend an entire episode trying to save Hershel with all that drama just to have him die. Also most the fandom hates Lori. Comic book and tv show counterparts alike.

^ Now that you mention it, I suppose that makes sense. It wasn't what I was thinking of at the time, though. My thoughts were about the webisode I mentioned, with the CPR giver getting their face eaten off.

I wonder how those two inmates will play in future plots?

Carl was surprisingly useful in this episode.

I'll never forgive him for Dale's death (I assume that's still spoiler tag worthy.) But at least he's useful for something.

@Patty: I wouldn't put it past them, considering they did spend 6 episodes trying to save Sofia last season...
