It was immediately available for preorder when they made the announcement. No further promotion was necessary.
...huh.
Well, apparently I wasn't missing much.
Started watching Speed Racer again for the first time in over twenty years. I'm three episodes in now, and...
...man, this show is fun.
Weird in a Can (updated M-F)So I was watching One Piece with my little brother, and, well ...
I'mma need hugs. (Seems like a common side effect of this show.)
How's everyone doing?
I'm in your fanfiction, correcting your spelling. There's a One Piece dedicated thread, if you're looking for it.
Fiat iustitia, et pereat mundus.Speed Racer was my very first anime, at the ripe young age of 7. Good times.
I myself do not remember which one it was exactly, but the very first anime that I ever saw is almost certainly one of the following for sure: Captain Tsubasa (the very first series), UFO Robo Grendizer, Dinosaur War Aizenborg.

Fiat iustitia, et pereat mundus. The Dutch version of Battle of the Planets aka Gatchaman back in '79 or '80; don't actually remember watching it, just playing it in kindergarten.
A general observation about hentai: the hentai manga/anime from the 80's/90's had more focus on plot and characters than the 2000's onwards stuff. Especially when it comes to manga - it's like all the mangaka only care about having the best art possible nowadays, screw the goddamn story. As a hentai manga/anime fangirl, I am not pleased.
I think most people who look up hentai are probably not looking for a great plot or anything, which makes the quality of the art more important.

Shindo L's stuff is dark but very story driven. It also takes stuff that you usually see in modern hentai and take it to it's Painful, realistic conclusion.

Watch SymphogearYou also have fatalpulse/asanagi, who is – to judge by his (very polished) work – the most fervent misogynist in Japan.

What's good this season?
Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that.Kiznaiver is beautiful but boring, made even worse by its being pretentious. It's trying to be somewhere between Bakemonogatari and one of those "let's force a destiny upon a group of children and watch them suffer" sort of show, like Bokurano or Dangan Ronpa,
I've only watched a couple episodes, but wasn't inspired so far.
I'm enjoying Jojo. It's Jojo.
Hero Academia was interesting, so I read the comic, and it bored me to tears soon enough, just another endless battle shounen with rehashed tropes. But the anime executes them very fresh. It's especially good at underscoring heroic moments and making them worthy of Manly Tears. And I love All Might, so, very, much.
I dunno, I want a show that's grown up, funny, and is trying to make a point. Is Urobuchi writing anything recently?
Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that.Kiznaiver would have been my suggestion for that...
Hah, no. Urobuchi seems to be actively avoiding doing any writing for anime since Madoka. Or even doing much series composition, like with Psycho Pass

The animes to watch this season IMO are Sansha Sanyou, Kuma Miko and Anne Happy ♪.
He's supposed to be working on something with Trigger right now.
No one knows what it is.
Watch SymphogearI would recommend 12-sai. Despite being shoujo for actual little girls, the plot developments and the characters are quite superb. It has been the underrated anime for this season for good reasons.
Watch Tanaka-kun and Shounen Maid definitely :P
too much moe this season. too much moe every modern season!

Wow, Thehandle seriously goes off the handle with anime tastes. Definitely not forgiving.
I wouldn't call Kiznaiver pretentious so much as it is about pretentious people. It's a dark comedy about cults, social engineering, and happiness designed by committee. They've begin to make it quite clear that despite her in-universe authority, Sonozaki is not significantly wiser than the kids she's bossing around. Girl feels like a teenaged Scientology auditor who's never been outside the org more than anything else.

What's precedent ever done for us?
Wait, really? That announcement was the last I heard of it.
Either none of the circles I'm in have said a word about it, or there's some serious SEGA-tier promoting going on here.
