The Walking Dead: The Game

I ended up being bummed that I couldn't save both, but ultimately saved Carley because she was more geared for combat. I'd figured that she'd be able to get the shots off fast enough to save herself and Doug. How wrong I was.

I saved Carley cause I thought someone who was good at shooting would be better than someone who was good with technology at surviving in a zombie apocalypse.

Especially the tech he specializes in being really damn obscure and irrelevant for the most part. If he had built something useful in the episode I might've picked him though.

... *sigh*

Up to ep 3 right now. Got as far as meeting Omid and Krista.

Left behind Lilly, managed to talk down Kenny (i.e. beat the crap out of him) and had to kill Duck myself.

What's with the sighs?

I'm bummed. So much has gone downhill since the end of ep 2. Ben got Carley killed. Kat gave up on life without even taking Kenny into consideration. Kenny seems like he's given up on life entirely now, only barely hanging on because I'm trying to help.

Oh you're that far already. Well.. the feels are only going downhill from there! ^^

Or uphill, depending on your perspective.

Personally, I absolutely love that this game was able to make me feel so much.

Well, yeah, that's what I meant. The game only gets better as it progresses and I loved all of it. But it really loves ripping your heart out, stomping it to the ground. After which it will apologize and give the heart back to you before taking it away from you again, setting it on fire and salting the remains. ♥

I thought the games dialogue was better then Mass Effects, its less "Oh, this choice is clearly bad, DON'T DO IT!" more "Hmm, this side seems better but the other side might be more interesting."

... Sheesh... Walker army. That was tense.

The picture was Clementine's, actually.

And supposedly it changes depending on how you act, though I've found no evidence of this aside from a claim by the wiki.

... Why did Clementine draw a picture of his family?

Maybe she wanted to give it to him as a gift?

Or maybe, like most kids, she just drew it because she could?

I let Kenny beat the crap out of me.

... And now I'm in ep 4, holed up in the school. Terrific.

... Make that done with ep 4 now.

Fucking shit. I've kept the crew together. Made sure Ben didn't die so he could help. Made sure Kenny stayed with me since I took care of Duck and Katya.

THAT FUCKING CLIFFHANGER.

Trying not to spoil anything, but you made the right choice in keeping Ben around— if only for two of the best NPC-NPC interactions in the entire game.

And brace yourself. Your heart is going to get trampled on.

Spoilers people. Be careful. Though I'm sure certain things are a Foregone Conclusion at that point.

On my next playthrough, I'm going to do what a lot of other players did - have Lee refuse everyone's help when looking for Clem, and go alone.

I think it's actually impossible to refuse Omid and Christa's help if they offer it- you have to either piss them off, or go with them.

What I dont like: Lilly is a Karma Houdini because she was originally Lilly from the comics. But since they was retconned into two different characters Game!Lilly does not get what's coming for her.

Also I'm calling the pick silence every time run the "Play as Ben" run.

We don't know that, yet.

Now that Lily's her own entity, they could very well bring her back for season 2.

In fact, I kinda hope they do.

... Oh god.

What do I do? Keep the arm? Cut it off?
