Captain HerlockHarlock. Just Captain Harlock. Kamina stole a few moves from his playbook, but his goofy bravado can't match up to this man's aura of "fuck you".
Takamura Mamoru.
Thirding Armstrong.
I guess it is.THIS TECHNIQUE OF MANLY SPARKLING HAS BEEN PASSED DOWN THROUGH THE ARMSTRONG FAMILY FOR GENERATIONS!!!
@Melloncollie: Ironic, since you misspelled Guy's name.
Currently taking a break from the site. See my user page for more information.^No he didn't. Gai is the correct spelling. The very least, it's just as correct as Guy.

"Canada Day is over, and now begins the endless dark of the Canada Night."Kishimoto's intention was to invoke the 'Guy' pun. To flat-out call him Guy is frightfully on-the-nose.
A True Lady's Quest - A Jojo is You!which is why it's "Might Gai/Guy", instead of "Mighty Guy"
The sad, REAL American dichotomyFor me, it's a tie between Kenshiro and Armstrong.
Heaven doesn't want me, and Hell's afraid I'll take over.I dunno, most subs I've seen spell it "Gai".
I'm a "she", btw

A True Lady's Quest - A Jojo is You!Leo the White Lion.
If an offense come out of the truth, better it is that the offense come than that the truth be concealed. There was a character in One Piece that gave all his food to Sanji and survived by eating his own leg. Come to think of it, there are probably quite a few manly characters seeing how it's about pirates...
That was "Red Leg" Zeff. And that wasn't manly, that was Bad Ass. And now, a history lesson on how awesome Zeff was.
"Red Leg" Zeff was an infamous pirate who earned his name from kicking enemies until their blood covered his legs. His crew attacked a ship child!Sanji worked on, but before they could get away, a freak storm came and sank the ship. Zeff was able to save a bag of food and Sanji, but the both of them wound up trapped on an island. Zeff gave Sanji a tiny bit of food and kept the rest for himself to ration, as they had no idea how long they would be stranded. by the 40th day, Sanji had eaten his food, but Zeff still had most of the bag left. Sanji attempted to kill Zeff to steal the food, but Zeff just let him take the bag. Sanji opened it to find out there was no food in it, only loot, and Zeff explained that he gave Sanji all the food, and ate his own leg to survive.
The sad, REAL American dichotomy4th Raikage is the manliest character, BITCH! Other's include FMA's Armstrong, Psyren's Kagetora and of course, Darker Than Black's Hei.

Herald of the Literature Sub-Forum. Share me your favourite book/series/author!For somewhat realistic, not ridiculously over the top characters, Ramba Ral definately comes to mind. Honorable mention goes to Yazan 'I'm gonna violate you' Gable.
Fear the Gothilolions! | Anime listThe epitome of manliness in Black Lagoon is Revy, definately. She's so manly she doesn't need to be a man!
Sig Curtis from Fullmetal Alchemist, hands down.
I've returned from the depths to continue politely irritating the good people of TV Tropes.(◕‿◕✿)Alternatively, Olivia qualifies as well. Why?
BECAUSE OLIVIA IS MADE OF A COMBINATION REVY, ARMSTRONG GENES AND PREPOSTEROUS AMOUNTS OF TESTOSTERONE! PREPOSTERONE!

Yeah, I was going to say that if anyone qualifies for "so manly she isn't a man", Olivier Armstrong does.
I guess it is.Kenshiro and Jotaro are so far above everyone it isn't even a contest.
Excuse me? Who was the Powerthirst Alchemist's model for menergy? the Strongarm alchemist himself.
The sad, REAL American dichotomy
Anybody say Guts?
There's also Guy Shishio.
An useless name, a forsaken connection.
