They have some ability to cope with cancer. Just that direct sunlight was bad.
For those who have played and want to play a fully finished version, or for those who want to play Ef: A Fairy Tale of the Two in the future, here is a tidbit of news.
http://nnl1.com/ will no longer be supporting the first translation of ef, as they have received a cease and desist notice from Minori. However, they have received permission from Minori do translate one of their games...but ONLY one. If you'd like that game to be Ef, make sure you vote for it on their website.
ShinePhew, good thing I already got it.
Ew, wind a breath of heart. It reminded me of Chaos Head in a way, but not to the same hateful extent. It's like a game of how much can you ruin a cool premise. Especially the final route.
I'm operating on the assumption that the Cure virus allows the body to heal at an accelerated rate, and prevents the body from degrading over time with age. My theory is that it doesn't interfere with normal development, so any child thus conceived will grow up to, I dunno, puberty maybe. So they still grow up, they just don't grow old afterwards.

This "faculty lot" you speak of sounds like a place of great power...But you're not fully grown at 17.
Yume Miru Kusuri. Aeka's route. Rooftop... "incident".
I don't think I've ever had the urge to beat the living shit out of a fictional character before. Needless to say, I do now.
This "faculty lot" you speak of sounds like a place of great power...Finished Mizuki's arc...I think? I'm really sad about the lack of closure. So sad, in fact, that I didn't end up reading far into the night like I planned. Gonna get started on Yuuko's arc in the next couple of days.
ShineFrom what I hear of the Ef anime, I have to approve of the VN apparently not going with the 'risky surgery' copout with Kuze. Was he too stupid to try it before? Does the power of love give you 50 IQ points? It certainly makes him seem like less of a complainer if yeah, he really is going to die.
Started reading Kira Kira now. Awesome.
It just reminded me that coincidentally, it was exactly a year ago, September 9th 2009, when I followed a wick to the FLCL page, that introduced me to two mediums at the same time. That day, I started to watch anime, and after hearing the awesomeness that is known as The Pillows, I started to listen music.

^^^ It'll get closure. Don't worry. But ready a dagger an unneeded pillow or something so you can stab something while reading. Things get disturbing in Yuuko's route.
I've seen the Melodies anime, so I know. :( More baawing will ensue anyways, I suspect.
ShineOh, then you already know the australia thing. I think they messed that part up in the anime. In the original VN, you don't find out until the end and then your mind is blown.
Yeah. I had to like, cross-reference the wiki, cause it just left me confused. :/ Overall though, I like the novel better than the anime. Everything is just explained better. I think this is partly attributed to the acid trip imagery the anime uses.
For example, concerning Chihiro, for some reason everyone seems to think that Chihiro was "cured" of her defect at the end by the sheer force of Renji's love. Except that whole "whoa here's a chain breaking" scene was supposed to be symbolic of not being bound by her condition...because in Melodies she clearly states she still has the defect. And has her diary and everything, IIRC. :p that's what happens when you change endings around I guess.
I also don't like how the anime gutted Kei's story. After reading it, I have to say it's one of my favourites. I love both Kei and Kyousuke, I just didn't have a chance to get to know them in the anime. :D
ShineI've been looking for a thread where one can discuss hentai video games, and have been referred to this thread (The "general Visual Novel appreciation thread", that is). Is it okay for that?

Fiat iustitia, et pereat mundus.Well, a lot of popular visual novels are eroge, such as Fate/Stay Night, Tsukihime, Kanon, Da Capo, and others. Though it depends on if you're thinking of Porn with Plot eroge or Plot With Porn, like the aforementioned games. Not to say all hentai-focused visual novels are bad, though.
I write pretty good fanfiction, sometimes.Wait, there's a difference between the two terms? Let me guess: Emphasis?
Okay, ever heard of Oppai Baka? I've been trying to get some info on the female cast (names, bios, etc.), but had no luck so far.

Fiat iustitia, et pereat mundus.^ According to the Visual Novel Database, it seems to be quite obscure, and it doesn't have any english translation. Is that ok with you?
Only about 1% of all Visual Novels gets a fan translation, as they have a lot more text and a much smaller fandom than anime, so only the ones that gather a relatively big fan following have the chance that a translator team will spend months if not years on it. Obviously, the ones with elaborate plot, and characterization, on par with a great anime series are more likely to get this sort of devotion, than the ones that have the hottest sex scenes.
And since not many (if any) of us in this thread can read Japanese text, we are mostly discussing these porn-free, or Plot With Porn novels.

I want To Heart 2: X-Rated. Translation is still ongoing.
My FF.net accountI want my Happiness VN. You can guess why.
Add Da Capo II to that as well. I need my Oto-nee route.
My FF.net accountI want School Days, for the happy endings to clean my mind, and Little Busters, solely because of its title. (see above).
I dare not read the spoilers on the page. Is it or is it not an Utsuge? I can't tell whether someone forgot a certain pothole somewhere in the description.
This "faculty lot" you speak of sounds like a place of great power...
Not to mention inevitable irrevocable cancer. UV aside, nearly everything in the world is carcinogenic.
