Make sure you take this as a decent warning to back you stuff up. files, folders, documents.
DoodlesI got a similar issue. Desktop HDD is in a computer shop and I hope it can be read. Most of my important stuff I saved and movies I backed up otherwise I would be crying.
BACKUP,BACKUP,BACKUP!
All night at the computer, cuz people ain't that great. I keep to myself so I won't be a case on The First 48Some rebellious patch of muscle has decided it needed to knot up over a portion of my shoulder that pulls on a nerve and aches when I take deep breathes, lean over. or make certain common arm movements. I have been working at the knot all day. From gentle prodding, to heat, to tiger balm, and finally chemical warfare with Naproxen.
Who watches the watchmen? But did you remember to take Motrin and change your socks? I mean, hundreds of Navy Corpsmen can't be wrong.
All your safe space are belong to TrumpLol.
Motrin stopped working on me over a decade ago. That and Naproxen knocks down even my migraine issues to a point.
Who watches the watchmen?I'm allergic to Naproxen and Motrin is like candy to me.
All night at the computer, cuz people ain't that great. I keep to myself so I won't be a case on The First 48Motrin works on me still, but I find the best pain reliever is booze. For pain external and internal.
I find my best pain relief is complaining, snarking, and reminiscing when I could do all these things that hurt and then some.
And after I'm done with that I take pain meds.
El Paso has been drier than hell recently, but then we've moved into the fall "Fuck You" season:
- Days of cool or cold dry, dry, dry weather.
- Cloudy
- "FFFFFFUUUUUUCKKKKK YOOOOUUUUUU!" The rain doesn't stop, we may lose power. Walking is not advised unless you have gills or flippers. The next day your allergies are out with a vengence.
- Guess what? ALLLL the arroyos and canals are flowing, any soil is now muddy glue and the streets may be flooded
- Days of cool or cold dry, dry, dry weather.
Summer "Fuck You" is the same, only it's hot as balls between bursts of liquid terror.
All night at the computer, cuz people ain't that great. I keep to myself so I won't be a case on The First 48Ahh the Texas "State Level Swamp Ass" season. Have fun Taira. I don't miss the regular Texas Seasonal Tsunami's.

Who watches the watchmen?Yeah I had thought Michigan's weather was crazy, until my time in Texas. Texas' weather is full blown psychotic.
I've found Texas weather unpleasantly stable next to Indiana. Some parts of the year in Texas it might rain (and it usually only gets around to it after a few days of forecasts saying it will), but it's usually day after day of clear, bright sun.
Fresh-eyed movie blogTrue enough, the weather is generally predictable.
Who watches the watchmen?Except for May and September, which is when we get 80 percent of our rainfall in the space of like a week.
Fresh-eyed movie blogNot like Swiss weather, which sucks.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanMarch diamond powder in sunlight totally disagrees with you... Or August golden syrup sun beating through the canopy to make everything smell of resin, hay and fruit.
And, any day in Switzerland is a good day to go field cat spotting. They are excellent at following boundaries.

Sorry, August weather recently has only been "when will the heat go away already. This isn't Florida, we don't have air conditioning here as a matter of routine. On the upside swirly white thingies don't come here either.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanFour? Texas doesn't have winter.
Fresh-eyed movie blogI am hoping Leradny is ok. We haven't heard from her in a while.

Who watches the watchmen? We haven't, have we? And wasn't she having trouble with legalities regarding her boat?
Yep. She was having trouble finding space to live in and her employment position was sometimes hit or miss. I am hoping she is ok.

Who watches the watchmen? The game I'm working on is out next week! Excited for launch, but also kind of hoping that I'm not cut loose immediately afterwards. This was never supposed to be a permanent gig but I've gotten pretty attached to the place.
Got home yesterday after D&D, went to turn on my laptop, and boom bluescreen. After some googling on my phone I was able to do a system refresh (basically a light system restore) and got it working again, with all my files and music intact. However Steam and all my games and The Sims were all inexplicably uninstalled, as was Firefox. I lucked out, though, total catastrophe turned to merely major annoyance. Only thing I really "lost" was my FF bookmarked pages, which tbh needed a good clearing out. Omnissiah be praised.
