Then the series loses most of the comedy. Rito is the source of 90% of the comedy in the series really, losing his reactions just leaves flustered and fish out of water Yami.
Heck even Yui wouldn't really be funny without the usual Rito.

Then the series should just branch out for other types of comedy already.
I mean, they have a freaking universe of weird aliens and insane machines to work with. Urusei Yatsura made one of manganime's greatest and richest comedies out of that, and the 'hah hah Ataru is a perv' jokes never got anywhere as stale as 'hah hah Rito slipped for no reason and fell on a woman's crotch, freaked out and got punched for the umpteenth time'. Hell, Keroro Gunso makes a lot more with its own 'weird kooky aliens cohabiting with Earthlings' premise and it's a series mostly aimed at children.
To Love Ru losing its current brand of comedy? Great, that's right what it needs, Sincerity Mode.

Just saw the chapter 60 raw.
To be honest this issue's ecchi pratfall was neccesary, just to remind us we weren't reading Dragon Ball.
Holy shit, Gid.
…Damn, they managed to insert a crotch-fall even in this situation.
Still, that's some fight. So Nemesis' body will disapear if it takes too much damage before it can regenerate…
Flippé de participer à ce grand souper, je veux juste m'occuper de taper mon propre tempo.Chapter 63… so, at this point I think they're no longer Getting Crap Past the Radar. They just bribed the people watching the radar and read the chapters with them while laughing out loud.
Flippé de participer à ce grand souper, je veux juste m'occuper de taper mon propre tempo.@Yasmin Perry. You would like High School DXD (The Light Novel especially) more then this series then.
Funny, there's a crossover fic I read where Issei tries to take Rito under his wing to help him become a Harem King like him.
Watch SymphogearGuys, do any of you know what the links in the second Berserk Button sub-entry of Yami's trope list on Characters. To Love Ru are supposed to be pointing at? They're dead-ends right now.
Fiat iustitia, et pereat mundus."Cataplectic Indecency Syndrome" is an actually okay name for Rito's condition.
Nope.
I'm not even sure "cataplectic" is a word, but I'll believe it is just because.
The Japanese name is "Toppatsu Harenchi Shoukougun" by the way − the "Sudden Indecency Syndrome". Yeah, cataplectic is funnier.
Flippé de participer à ce grand souper, je veux juste m'occuper de taper mon propre tempo. It is, in fact, a word.
I appreciate that they're doing this for Rito, not just for Yami. Because Mea would have a ton of explaining to do once this group inevitably stumbles upon the harem plan.
I'm kind of surprised that ghost girl hasn't been dragged into the harem plan or showed attraction to Rito yet. There are only, what five female characters that haven't been yet? Her, Mikado, his mom, Lala's mom and Saki's other friend? And two of those don't really count.
I don't think Mio, Risa's galpal, has been thought of for the harem plan or shown an attraction for Rito either. Maybe Meganekos are immune for some reason.
Edit: Oh, and Haruna's sister, I suppose.

I don't think I remember Mio at all. I might be mixing her up in my head with Saki's friend with glasses.
Yeah, well, she doesn't do much other than echoing Risa and adding a few gropes when Risa's molesting girls, so she's not particularly memorable. As a matter of fact I think she doesn't hang with Risa that much either since Darkness began, although in the first series she was almost her shadow.

Thinking about it I actually do remember her. Her design, anyway, since she isn't a nerdy looking glasses girl like Saki's friend. And I kind of remember Haruna having a sister. Isn't she an older sister who already has a boyfriend or something and hasn't actually met Rito though?

Haruna's older sister apparently plays around with men, and had a relationship with Yui's older brother at one point. They met once, and it was her interrupting what she misinterpreted as Rito and Haruna about to have sex in Darkness.
The boyfriend, IIRC, is Kotegawa Yui's older brother.

On the subject of girls dragged into the harem, I don't think the writer knows what he wants to do with Saki. She seems to have a decent shot with Zastin in the background at some points, but whenever she's in the forefront she gets reluctantly dragged into the antics.
She had a shot in Zastin back in To Love Ru when the story was only kinda ecchi and not softcore porn. Now the world revolves around Rito and arranges itself so that everything lacking a Y chromosome wants into his pants.
Thing is Saki clearly doesn't, but Rito's CIS is doing everything. See the last Rin chapter for example, where she clearly laments what's about to happen mere seconds before it does.
For now.
Flippé de participer à ce grand souper, je veux juste m'occuper de taper mon propre tempo.I do agree the focus is too tightly on Rito. We all know he either doesn't develop at all or he does at a glacier's speed, so why must everything gravitate around him falling into crotchs? Even if you're deadset on jamming fanservice in, can't you do it in ways that don't involve him too?
So it's now scientifically proven that the universe wil literally bend itself backwards to make Rito fall on girls. You cannot oppose it.
Not sure what kind of development it will lead to, but that made me chuckle, admittedly. >.>

Mikado fanservice=best fanservice. I just love that nurse...
True. Just once I'd like to see him wake up and just give a deadpan "Mornin' Momo."
