Yeah. If anyone is the main heroine, it's Aeka. Kinda wish there was an Aya route, but then again considering how many sex scenes the game throws at you perhaps it's best that there isn't.

My copy of Clannad: Memorial Edition arrived in the mail today. I downloaded the language patch, but no matter what I do with the language/region settings, it says "This Game is Japan Only" and refuses to work.

Any way to fix this?

EDIT: Never mind. Found a patch for it.

...This might be a stupid question, but how do you save the game? I don't see a button around for it. Should I just keep it open?

Well, in the patched version of the game when you open the menu it's the... fourth or fifth option down. Somewhere around there.

How do you switch from gameplay to the menu?

Is this your first time playing a VN? In any case, the menu is often brought up during gameplay by right clicking.

I right-clicked and all I got was a little "~blurp~" sound.

I don't have Clannad installed here and I last played it a year and a half ago. Try Esc?

Right click should have done it. The blurp sound is the menu coming up.

I wish They Are My Noble Masters had been translated or was likely to be. The anime was... okay, but the problem is that it was pretty obvious the original content was almost surely quite a bit better.

I'm still annoyed at JAST randomly picking up visual novels that already had a fan translation. First Sumaga, then Osadai. It's pretty stupid really. Though should follow Manga Gamer's lead and do their own translations, while allowing fans to continue theirs.

Also, from the vndb page, They Are My Noble Masters does look pretty interesting. Haven't seen the anime, though.

The Kimi Aru VN is mostly a Dating Sim with parody on the side. The anime turned the Actor Allusions and parodies Up To Eleven.

I can only take so much parody and shout out though.

To be fair, for Osadai at least they're the ones that contacted JAST. Still annoying, but yeah.

I'd just like to note that erogedownload apparently has the Osadai patch, though it's not entirely complete.

Is it just the demo patch, or an actual, mostly finished patch from just before they sold the project to JAST?

Apparently, it's a basically complete patch. There's apparently a glitch where you have to remove the patch file and put it back to continue playing at one point but yeah.

Ok, this is hilariously absurd. I think the humor may get old after awhile but for now it's charmingly bizarre.

^ Is that Kimi Aru?

I posted this in the Key Visual Arts thread (since it was related to a Kanon torrent), but perhaps somebody here in the general thread may know. Here's the important part of what I posted:

The torrent contained several .rar files and I'm not sure what to do with them to make the thing work properly. There were 7 Kanon_standard_edition files (I assume these are the bulk of the whole thing), 3 voice_patch files, and one English_patch. Help on making it work please?

As further information:

• the English_patch rar contained a .7z file, a few images (uploader images, I think), an uploader text file, and a thumbs.db file.
• the Kanon_standard_edition files contained mostly the same stuff, except an iso and mds instead of a .7z in each.
• The voice_patch files contained was again mostly the same except this time with a .zip file in each.
