Radiant Historia is extremely character driven and can be happy or dark at different times. If you come to like the characters (I did/still do), it should provide more emotional reactions than most JRPG's (certainly more than the most recent Final Fantasy games).
Valkyrie Profile: Covenant of the Plume lets you chose to KILL your party members in exchange for power-ups. This can change the entire plot depending on whom you kill/save and when you do so. It is also set in a Crapsack World and you usually save the characters in your party before they officially join you. GL not feeling anything about the people you kill.
- Oh, and the first person you kill is mandatory.
Xenogears and Vagrant Story mess with your soul. Both address questions of memory and identity and even at the end of the games you are still left wondering just what happened.
And both are way overdue for remakes.
If you're a fan of Action Games, then you should really dig God Hand for the PS 2. The graphics are meh, but the controls are tight and intuitive, the gameplay is fast-paced and challenging (I must stress: Challenging, not unfarily difficult), the sound-track is top-notch, and story doesn't take itself seriously. It's a pretty fun ride overall. And if you don't want to get it on a PS 2, you can also buy it as a PS 2 classic on the Playstation Network.
The Devil May Cry series, in particular 3 and 4, have some of the best combat I've played. I think 4 is for the PC.
Likes many underrated webcomicsMy favorite Nintendo DS games are Lost Magic and Avalon Code. What other DS games would I like?
Help?.. please...Okamiden, I'm guessing.
Magical Starsign. Best game I ever bought for under $3. Oh, and Radiant Historia is just amazing.

Reality is that, which when you stop believing in it, doesn't go away. -Philip K. DickGameboy Advance game with the best real-time combat?
Likes many underrated webcomicsThe Megaman Zero games are pretty good if you're looking for GBA side-scrollers.
I need help to choose between either getting a Vita or 3DS (or none) next week directly from USA (next week is when they have all the discounts, isn't it?). I already have a DS with quite some games for it so the retrocompatibility is nice and there are some games [[Cave Story that]] interests me. On the other hand the Vita doesn't have as many games that interest me. Also considering that the variety of console games that you can get here is not much, most of the games I will be buying will be from the digital stores and PSN has been anounced to be released here in early 2013 while to buy with a credit card from the 3DS store I would have to change my country to another one (there are no Nintendo points cards here either), so the Vita is more practical regarding that.
Basically, I am not sure which one to buy.
Make a pros and cons list
From the looks of things, you have more reason to want a 3DS than a Vita. Not much point being able to buy things more easily if there are few games you want.
"It's so hard to be humble, knowing how great I am."I guess so and also the 3DS is cheaper.
Can I ask for suggestions for Third Person Shooters on the PC? I'm sorely contemplating War Hammer 40,000: Space Marine, but would you have other titles in this vein?
Still finishing: a whole lot of shows from Fall 2013 and Winter 2014.I would buy a 3DS over a Vita for now. The only games that interest me in the latter are Uncharted and Persona 4 Golden.
I liked it better when Questionable Casting was called WTH Casting AgencyIf you like Japanese games, sales of the Vita aren't doing very well over there at all. Last week, which had a new colour release for the console, as well as the Japanese launch of Assassin's Creed III: Liberation (which did well enough to get on the top 10 in software sales, at least), the Vita only managed to shift 13,091 units.
In comparison The 3DSXL sold 117,435 units, the Vanilla 3DS sold 51,441 units and the PSP sold 12,217 units, which is less than 1,000 units away from matching the Vita, The PSP also has a higher YTD than the Vita in Japan at present, so I really don't think there's going to be an awful lot of support for the Vita from Japanese companies when the PSP sells better than it.

My standard Anime Theme song game variant rules: [Censored by ACTA]I heard good things of the Transformers Fall Of Cybertron game that is now on sale at Steam and I also heard that Saint Row The Third full pack currently on sale is "a stupidlly good deal, that is beyond ridiculus"from.
Seems I will be getting a 3DS then, now I only need to convinvce my mother (who is the one going to USA and who will be buying it) to buy it even though I already have a DS (technically it belongs to my sister.). Any recomendation for a 3DS game that is already available?

Thanks for the recommendations.
Just to throw my hat into the ring - I'd get a 3DS, if only for Project X Zone. Then again, I'm the guy who bought a DS Lite near the end of its lifespan just so I could play Endless Frontier, and didn't regret it.
Still finishing: a whole lot of shows from Fall 2013 and Winter 2014.Ohhhhh, that one sounds quite interesting. And Endless Frontier is an excelent game
It's no surprise that the Endless Frontier cast makes a reappearance in Project X Zone. This gets really funny when the EF characters cross over with the SRW characters.
I'm sad the didn't localize Endless Frontier EXCEED
Would I like the Ar Tonelico games?
I liked it better when Questionable Casting was called WTH Casting AgencyI got two of specific games to recommend. Not too good at descriptions, so I won't be surpised if I fail to get anyone intreasted.
1: Anyone here who likes Nintendo's video games {And I'm sure that there are alot of people here who do} might want to check out the Wario Land series, or at least the first 3 games. The gameplay in these games is increadably fun and challenging {Especially in the 3rd game, which might be my favorite in the series}, and also quite diffrent from most games. Explaining the gameplay for some of the later games might be a bit hard for me {I suck at descriptions, as you can probably see right now, and I'm still trying to find my copys of these games so that I might be able to describe them better}, but you can probably find out from reading some online reviews or maybe even the trope page for it. As for where to find this series {Since the games went out of print except for "Wario Land: Shake It!".}, just look around on Ebay, Amazon.com or any other website that sells those kind of things.
2: Do any of you like Wide-Open Sandbox games? Then there's a good chance that you'll like Red Dead Redemption. Made by the same company that made the Grand Theft Auto series, there are a number of reasons why I'd reccomend this game. 1: The world map for the game is huge and there are alot of activitys you can partake in {And don't worry, unlike GTA 4, there's jackass who constantly begs you to hang out with him all the damn time }, so you'll have alot of places to explore and alot of things to do even when your not doing any of the story missions. 2: The storyline is great {If I talk too much about it, I might end up accidently spoiling some important twist's in the game} and the protagonist is likeable {And so are some of the supporting charectors}, and 3: The graphics and gameplay mechanics are amazing.
I will warn you that the game does start out pretty slow {Especially with the storyline}, but I think it get's much better after you beat all of Bonnie Mcfarlane's missions and a few other story missions, thus gaining important weapons and advancing the storyline further. And if you like RDR, be sure to check out Undead Nightmare as well {And if you ask me, Red Dead Redemption compleatly owns GTA in almost every possible way. But that's just my personal opinon}!

The Mass Effect games are decent. I think the gunplay lacks depth but abilities complement combat pretty well, so it's an even mix.
Eh, there's this game called Spec Ops The Line. It's a pretty generic military shooter (you know, badass Delta Force operatives go in to save everyone from an evil warlord), and the cover system could use some work, but it's a quick, fun little blast.
What's precedent ever done for us?
The Tales games are good, but uneven. The best ones I've played are Tales Of Symphonia and Tales Of The Abyss.
One JRPG that gave me feels is Infinite Undiscovery, even though it didn't seem like it at first. That probably made it even better.
Lost Odyssey has a lot of feels about mortality and what makes life worth living.
