Haven't got that one yet. But I can at least help you kick Astarte's ass.
Can't think of anything witty, so have this instead...Oh cool. Been meaning to clean up that map in some way.
Meanwhile, in the graveyard of the 360 owners...
Long live Cinematech. FC:0259-0435-4987It's just a shame, really - I got the thing for sale back a couple years ago, and got all of the DLC for it... only to have nobody willing to friend me and nobody willing to play except people who wanted to go for Hard mode when I haven't even fully cleared all of the Normal levels.
Long live Cinematech. FC:0259-0435-4987So, things I learned whilst co-opping. First, I need more practice on Dracula. Second, I need to pick up a Masamune somehow. Third, poor fucking Gergoth.
Can't think of anything witty, so have this instead...A good chunk of the bosses are child's play if you've fought them in their source games and know what you're doing.
And then there's Retro Dracula...
Long live Cinematech. FC:0259-0435-4987Death on hard is really annoying me. I can only do so much damage before Charlotte runs out of MP.
I have a message from another time...That's why co op is even more fun. Shit even on Hard mode I just have fun if I'm online with lots of other people.
Wait, Normal or Retro Death?
Long live Cinematech. FC:0259-0435-4987I'd probably say normal. If I was on my own I'd probably be right fucked but with others its kinda child's play really.
Whoever said "The death cannot die" was full of shit.
Wait, what?
No, Vampire's Kiss is probably the most stupidly difficult Castlevania game. More so than even Castlevania The Adventure.
It's simple compared to the original Dracula X.
Long live Cinematech. FC:0259-0435-4987Meanwhile, in the graveyard of the 360 owners...
Well, I just happen to have the game on 360...
A corpse should be left well enough alone...Oh hey, you own two of the games that I do! *has noticed your avatar*
Won't be on my 360 until Friday (weekend visits), but my username is the same as here.
Long live Cinematech. FC:0259-0435-4987Adventure on Game Boy right? That wasn't helped by how rubbish a protag AND Belmont Christopher was. He was slower than a sloth taking a shit and he lost his whip powerup whenever he got hit. It took Simon and Trevor to DIE to have that happen. Thank fuck Belmont's Reveng and Adventure Rebirth fixed that.
Normal Death on Hard.
I have a message from another time...So, I just discovered that the Moon Rod shoots magical scythes if you do a hadouken. Makes playing as Alucard less of a chore. I can only guess he becomes extremely powerful when you get all his spells fully upgraded, because he's easily the hardest character I've played as in HD. Totally reliant on equipment and spell drops to be effective. Also I'm used to just Fulgur'ing most of my enemies to death.
Can't think of anything witty, so have this instead...Yeah. I was lucky I got the Masamune from an earlier online game because otherwise I'm stuck with Summon Spirit for now.
Just now got the Masamune. And it's weaker than the moon rod. Oh well. Also, the Estoc can go to hell, with its stupid dumbass dash attack. What use is a weapon that makes you run straight into the boss?
Also realised that chapter 5 has all of its purple chests requiring cooperative play to reach. You up for it later? I'm trying to power up Alucard atm.
EDIT: I take it back, the Masamune kicks ass. It's probably too weak for hard mode, but for normal it owns everything. Also it has a special attack if you do a hadouken. I'm gonna have to check all the weapons from Symphony, see if any of them have special moves too.

Can't think of anything witty, so have this instead...If you're very patient, find the Muramasa and grind blood-spilling enemies with it. It absorbs their blood gradually and can become a game-breaker on par with the Crissaegrim.
Long live Cinematech. FC:0259-0435-4987I was doing that very same special attack myself actually.
Also my TV's a decade old POS without HD so I couldn't see it that well but Simon has Christopher's whip fireball as well.
Goddamn Astarte. Why the hell are her resistances so high? I tried to take her on as Alucard using the Masamune and all the gear I found on chapter 8 hard. A certain Monty Python clip best describes the result. I'm gonna have to try to find a decent blunt weapon. Actually, the Moon Rod might do the trick.
Also had to return to chapter 3 to try and get Hellfire. Since male characters don't seem to get much in the way of decent luck boosting gear I fear I may be here a while.

Got it. Oh yeah I haven't got all the other DLC maps yet. Might get Origins next tho.
