Greetings. This is the thread for requesting assistance with recovering a TV Tropes account for which you have forgotten the password.
Before posting here, please note that Get Known has a comprehensive set of instructions for managing your account. To summarize, password resets are limited as follows:
- If you have an associated email address, use the Lost Password link on the login screen to request a reset email. If that doesn't work, post here.
- If you do not have an associated email address but you are still logged in, you can register an email address and use it for recovering your password.
- If you do not have an associated email address, and have not used your previous account since September 18, 2013, we cannot verify your ownership for technical reasons.
- To verify ownership without an email address, and if you have used your previous account recently, you should be logged in on the same computer and/or Internet connection that you most recently edited or posted from.
- It is not currently possible for moderators to reset your password or change your registered email address. As a last resort, you may use our contact form
to send a message to "The Staff".

Fast Eddie- it's probably the want of the name. You can only have a name used once after all. I know that's why I put off from making a new user handle for so long even though my original handle had underscores in it and thus would not link to my profile page.

The reason I have no recent edits is that I lost my password a while ago, and since I never went to the forums much, I didn't think to ask until now. If you really don't want to give me a reset for some reason, that's okay.

Hi, it's me, Dark Lady Celebrian. I came on the site tonight and I found myself logged out. I thought my cookies had been reset so I tried to log in again and it couldn't recognize me. I'm almost entirely sure I used the correct password. I tried it twice to make sure I hadn't typoed and it still wouldn't log me in.
