This is the thread we use to talk things over with people who have received a suspension notice. A lot of the time the notice goes out just so we can explain how seriously we take certain things, not because we want the person to feel bad and go away.
If you're suspended, give What to Do If You Are Suspended a read, then post here to begin your appeal. We try to respond to appeals in order via batch posts every few days. If a moderator has responded to your appeal, you will receive a notification in your private messages, even if you're suspended from PMs.

Don'ts
- Don't be rude. Rule 1 applies here, too.
- Don't try to negotiate your suspension outside of this thread, such as by sending Private Messages to moderators or posting elsewhere. Such activity may be thumped or otherwise removed, and may warrant an additional suspension block if it keeps happening. All communications have to take place within this thread.
- Don't respond to other suspended users. This is a place for you to discuss your suspension, not others'.
- Don't post multiple times about your appeal if it hasn't been a few days since your last reply from us, since it makes it more difficult to compose responses. If you've posted, we're likely looking at it, and kindly request you to be more patient.
- Don't make another account to try and get around your suspension. This is called ban evasion and will get you bounced. (Again, read What to Do If You Are Suspended if you don't know what these words mean.)

Alright, since I'm being overlooked, I suppose I'll chime in again. Whichever you decide to do with me, I would still like to ask you two questions:
- I won't pretend: I came back uninvited. You got me. However, ever since I checked back in like a year ago, I've done my best to avoid going back to my old ways and have dropped the hostility. I've stayed clear from the forums and only focused on creating new pages for undocumented works, editing the wiki without editorializing and stuck to your recommendations and the site's policy. To you, this is still ban evesion (and it is), and since you have a policy of zero tolerance of this, I assume it's still time for me to leave. But I had little choice. Given how bitter our last exchanges had been, would you have given me any time if I had contacted you otherwise?
- Also, I did give to your kickstarter project. For obvious reasons, I didn't reply to the "reward mail", but I can do that now and prove that I'm telling the truth. I suppose it would be foolish of me to ask for any consideration of this fact in the treatment of my case, however I would still like to know whether or not I'll be receiving what you promised in exchange of donation.
And since I never got to apologize for my earlier dismissiveness and rudeness, I'll do it now. I do apologize for my hostility and my soapboxing on my previous account. I was just angry and frustrated and I did go a little too far with you and other users.

~Chochlik: I'm not sure which example you're referring to, specifically, but almost all of your edits, as we pointed out before, were adding second, third, fourth-level bullets "correcting" existing examples. This is not about scientific accuracy. This is about proper wiki editing. We need to know that you understand this or we can't let you edit again.
~Sheneshta: While I'd love to believe you about your magical personal transformation, I'm having trouble reconciling this with your history of rabid anti-feminism and anti-semitism. Unlike in fiction, people don't cure themselves with Epiphany Therapy. And then there's the fact that you blatantly lied about accepting your ban, since you came back literally days afterwards. A person who commits hate crimes doesn't get forgiven just because they've hidden under the radar for years. This isn't something we can brush under the rug and ignore.

I would like to request to be able to edit again. I realize where I was in my error upon evaluating site rules. I know that I have in the past censored swear words, but I was probably 13 when I first made an account on here and eventually realized that swearing was allowed on this site and refrained from trying to do that. Secondly, I deleted a trope not because it had swear words, but because I thought it contained inaccurate information. When I had my editing privileges suspended I realized I should have just moved it rather than deleting it. I admit to creating a second account, and my reason for that was to move the trope. I had not read the rules for suspended accounts since I had not edited on here for such a long time, so that was my fault for not reading through the rules thoroughly. Thirdly, I wasn't trying to be rude and, like I said above, I realized I should have just moved it, but I understand that I probably should have given reason for moving it. I apologize for trying to evade accounts and will wait patiently for however long I need to be allowed to edit again, and, once again, I do realize swearing is allowed on this site and will not try to censor that anymore.

Having been on this wiki for nearly 4 years means you have no reason not to know that we don't allow people to censor swearing, and the ban notice clearly links to What to Do If You Are Suspended, which discusses everything you could have needed to know — particularly that ban evasion is punishable by a permanent site ban.
Having committed one automatic ban offense, you proceeded to commit another immediately thereafter, while admittedly not even attempting to learn the rules. Your appeal is denied.

I would like to request the ability to edit pages again, as I recently received a suspension from an edit I made to the Mario Party page.
The scenario that led to the suspension was an indentation issue that existed on a trope on the page that I added to (without adding any extra bullets), where the Ascended Extra trope had a main bullet with the trope and an example and only one bulleter showing another example, instead of the main bullet listing stating the trope and two or more bulleters showing the examples. I added to both examples but overlooked re-organising the bullets into the proper format.
This is how the trope and it's examples looked, before and after my edits:
- Ascended Extra: Over the course of the games, Koopa, Boo, Toad, and now Shy Guy and Kamek have all gone from helpers to hosting the game to being playable characters.
- Bowser himself was also briefly playable in 4, but only for the volleyball mini-game; now he's the main star of 10.
- Ascended Extra: Over the course of the games, Koopa Troopa, Boo, Toad, Dry Bones, Shy Guy, and Magikoopa (Kamek in Japan) have all gone from helpers or obstacles to hosting the game to being playable characters.
- Bowser himself was also briefly playable in 4, but only for the volleyball mini-game, as well as 5's Super Duel Mode; now he's the main star of 10.

~Superjustinbros: The issue that got you suspended was your creation of Funny.Pac Man World with bad Example Indentation, Word Cruft and no indexing despite plenty of messaging. Seeing poor indentation is not an excuse to do it yourself.

Oh, I stand corrected. When I logged in earlier today I get a PM from a user who fixed up the Mario Party page after discovering my privileges had vanished; I was unaware the Funny/Pac-Man World page was involved in my suspension until you brought it up.
I'd be more than happy to go and fix up that page by removing the Word Cruft and give it a proper indexing; I just thought that since it wasn't a main, Trivia, or YMMV page that improper Example Indentation wouldn't have as much of a bad impact as on usual pages where tropes are put/listed. I'll also make sure I pay better attention to my edits from here on out and make sure they're written correctly.

I've got myself suspended somewhere in first days of October '14. Lacking English. For past month (finally I've got enough time) I'm adhering to Get Help With English thread and finally moved from just having my entries checked to having them posted by others. I guess this will keep on going from here till being regularly reposted, but my question is simple. Does it count as a reason or a way to lift the suspension or this is just a futile struggle?
This is ridiculous. You have zero tolerance for it but you are okay with people adding false info instead? If I didn't know it better, I'd say you guys are the ones who are ship biased here because otherwise it wouldn't be only me here.
I'm the only one to be banned, because...?

rzorrz: it's not futile. We can see whether your English is improving by looking at how much work the folks in "Get Help With English" thread have to do to make them wiki-ready. When they don't have to make major fixes anymore, you can ask to have the suspension lifted. Keep on doing what you're doing.

As for you, there is no evidence supporting your assertions, either regarding being harassed or about your edits being "right". None.
And even if there were, your edit warring would get you suspended anyway. Proper conduct is required regardless of who is supposedly "right".

A while ago (almost a year, I think), my editing privileges were suspended, and I never found out why. If I did something wrong, I apologise and would be happy to receive advice on the matter so that it never happens again.

Hi I'm Summer D Ays and I've been trying to contact you for awhile now, pm messaging didn't work because you shut that off... for very good reason I didn't help in my pm at all with my crazy rants I tried emailing but that didn't help either. You know why I'm here I had my account banned from editing for two good reasons because i wouldn't stop pestering on the guy with the glasses wall banger and because i let my own ego get to me on a headscratchers discussion boardand I first thought that I wasn't too blame and said it in my emails too I thought I was innocent and even justified in what I did but I'm not I am really not. I came off as some whiny brat who thought everything I did and said was right and that's not me I'm usually an easy going person but I just lost myself while on here and sure I got angry but you know what that's no excuse. The stuff I did on that wall banger, wrong what I did on that discussion board double wrong and I have had time to think and finally, finally cool down and I just hope you can forgive me for what I did and said I am so sorry guys. I love this site and took what I had on here for granted and for that I hope you can forgive and have me fix my wrongs on here that might need fixing seriously I hope you can forgive me. It's funny though I was almost desperate to make a new account but I read the rules and knew it was wrong and then I started thinking that maybe what I did do, even if I thought it was right, is wrong. Regarding the edits/deletions on the Wallbanger page for Naruto, I must admit I did thought I was crossing a line when I made them. Had a rough day at work, and had some bad experiences regarding the shipping war that day, and I kinda lashed out the moment I saw those comments.
Read the message on my In Box and was going to restore the content, though I've found that it's already been done by a moderator.
I'll refrain from visiting the page in the future. Just to be safe.
I've been suspended today. I've noticed that a big reason for it is my lack of double-checking how I indent topics and keeping the examples I post concise. I'm sorry about that. I suffer from Asperger's syndrome, have a huge interest in computer games alone, and when I have an idea for a new example, I get excited, rush to the page and edit it in, fast. Would it surprise you that this isn't the first time I've gotten in trouble with Wikia management over similar problems? I don't keep an account on Wikipedia itself anymore because of that. I will try to do better in my next edits, possibly think twice. However, I would like it if someone could pitch in on this suggestion: Making a mobile edition of this site. as I jogged my memory, some of these editing problems have stemmed from how small and cramped the editing UI becomes on a smartphone, would you believe. Please take that into account. I also apologize for the possible rambling, but I only hope this will all get resolved.
PS: Punishment is my darkest fear, I get a chill when so much as a warning is given about any wrongdoing.
