Solid 5/10, while it is technically a good country band that hits most of the country cliches right, the song did not do enough really win me over to get into country.

http://www.last.fm/user/sgtpendulum Yo, check out what I'm listening, it'll be heat, brah :^)40/100 - If this is indicative of the album, I'm surprised at how much hype was built up for basically singalong acoustic pop numbers with weird whispy wind-pipe sound effects and a trumpet layered over it while some melancholic drawling buzzes around like a housefly in slow motion.
Solid 8/10. It can drag on at times, but it has a clear atmosphere and the instrumentals make it a pretty good listen.
Your works are one trope short.>Neutral Milk Hotel
>Pop
Yeah okay buddy, I think you need to stop using pop as a buzzword for music you don't like.
Strong 6/10, it's very danceable tune, if the beats are bit overproduced and overbearing.

http://www.last.fm/user/sgtpendulum Yo, check out what I'm listening, it'll be heat, brah :^)11 minutes well spent. The production really brings out the heaviness of this track. The opening riff is nice and evil, and I like the fact that the song doesn't just repeat it but instead slowly evolves into a more psychedelic sound. The vocals don't distract from the music but instead add to the atmosphere, which is always good. This is the definite proof that doom and stoner metal are destined to be together. (9/10)
Nonsense is better than no sense at all.Wait, aren't stoner metal and doom metal the same thing?
Primus sucks 5/10 to a solid 6/10, I respect Les Claypool on a technical level because not only he did some gimmicky, yet impressive and fun shits on the bass but also somehow able to integrate them into Primus's songs and still be able to sound good, though I tend to get bored with their songs over numerous replays nowadays. With that being said, I think this is their weakest song yet, the guitar riffs too weak to support the slap bass riffs that I already got bored with halfway through and the vocal's kinda weak and lazy.

http://www.last.fm/user/sgtpendulum Yo, check out what I'm listening, it'll be heat, brah :^)Hmmm, this is good. Sounds like a mix taking all the good of funk, hip-hop and dubstep at the same time. It's catchy but also surprisingly atmospheric, as if it was telling a story or something. And I love that… sort of weird guitar-slide-like effect throughout the track (dunno how you call that).
(like every French person I heard that one in a Joueur du Grenier episode, but why not. >.>)
I'm not sure if you're making a bad joke here or not.
88/100 - Is this part of an OST or an opening by any chance? It sounds like it was directly inspired by that kind of music; a lot of explosive and highly energetic playing jumping between mounting buildups and almost punkishly explosive choruses with a few odd refrains here and there for contrast. It's simple in terms of technique but as a whole all the pieces are very cleverly arranged and they know how to wave compelling melodies through what would otherwise be fairly standard choruses. The jangly, scratchy feeling of the riffs actually helps in this case and I enjoy the practically Sahara dry production.
I don't know if it's an anime opening, but it definitely could have been, for sure.

If you're referring to "Primus sucks" when you mention the "bad joke", that's their band tagline and the catchphrase of their fans. Yeah, I know.
Tastes better on the way back down.Should've clarified, I meant "aren't stoner metal and doom metal the same thing?"
88/100. Now THAT is doom metal if I've ever heard it.
Whuzzat? You want a suprisingly good piano part in what starts out sounding like generic metal, or interesting interplay between two synthesizers? Fuck you, you get acapella!
They only have a drummer because they couldn't find a beatboxer hardcore enough to get through their longest song without fainting halfway through.

"I, Exdeath, have disguised my self as a splinter, waiting for this very moment!" -Exdeath, 19929/10. Acapella has never been this awesome.
Ningen Funshin by Kafuka. This song was added to Show by Rock!! the same day the MV was released.
78/100 - Sounds like a funk/jazz fusion combo fused with the more streamlined tendencies of anthemic anime opening styled j-rock. The harmonies are pretty neat and manage to be wistful and shimmering without dragging themselves out or getting too airy. Some of the verses are a bit plain and carried too much by the vocals but it's not particularly damning.
While exhibiting an impressive level of technicality, this song suffers from the same ailment as most of the country's musical scene: it's overwrought to the point of exhaustion. There are parts that sound like power metal and parts that sound like Slayer, and then there's this pesky cheesy synthesizer that seems to pop up a lot in anime soundtracks. The vocals are impressive, but also remind me of every other hammy Japanese vocalist I've heard. Not a bad song by any means, but leaves a lot to be desired in terms of composition and originality. (5/10)
Motorpsycho - The Nerve Tattoo
Nonsense is better than no sense at all.8.6/10 Very much enjoy the build-up and instrumentation in this.
Joke? Why are you calling it a joke? You drew a picture of two dudes hugging and wrote "I love hugs!" on it.40/100 - The way her voice modulates feels oddly synthetic and robotic, almost like it was created using digital programming than an actual human voice. The emphasis on an insistent foot-tapping internal rhythm adds to that mood.
…Okay, how the hell does this have only 648 views?! ò.Ô The slightly dark and eerie, yet gentle atmosphere, the crescendo, the voice, the lyrics… it's all beautiful.
…I'll put this one again, since it didn't get a review last time.
Deen Burbigo feat. JP Manova - Fonte des glaces
Don't worry about the content of the lyrics, it's more of a technical track.
9/10. Very catchy and epic rap. The usage of ambient music give it a mysterious feeling as well.
8/10 Aside from the Japanese I couldn't understand, the beat is very catchy.
Peanut Butter Jelly by Galantis
I love you, Krillin!! -struggling to breathe- I love you as well, honey..Not really my style, and it seemed kind of generic for the genre to me. 4/10.
40/100 - Sounds like someone took the backdrop for some dreamy ambient piece and added some alt-rock style singing to it.
A moody, atmospheric piece of country. The trumpets remind me of something else, but I can't tell what.
Joke? Why are you calling it a joke? You drew a picture of two dudes hugging and wrote "I love hugs!" on it.Out of all the songs on AM, this is the one I kept forgetting about again and again, but it grew on me eventually. What makes this composition is all the little details affixed carefully to a rather simple skeleton. I like the subdued yet somewhat "tribal" mood of the percussion, punctuated by the tambourine, and the synthesizer with a harpischord effect, but in the end it is the interplay of all the small pieces that does the job, in the best tradition of indie rock. (9/10)
Nonsense is better than no sense at all.
7/10 - Fun, bouncy music with dissonant lyrics, always a plus for me. Not the biggest fan of the lead singer's voice.
Pokey LaFarge - Something in the Water
