New CT gear are ilvl 100
Remember, these idiots drive, fuck, and vote. Not always in that order.Yeah, not worth it on my main who already has i100. I'll save it for my not-yet-50 alts who will need the good gear.
So it turns out that if you have a dedicated hunting linkshell, you can hit max on both sol and myth tomes in one day.
A society grows great when old men plant trees whose shade they know they will never sit in.If you can manage to get kills on the damn critters. So far, the people on Balmung have taken a radical departure from their normal helpful selves to be "Fuck You, Got Mine" for these hunts.
In other news. I finished up the main quests Hildebeand quest and Sycrus tower. spoiler Highlights include
- Ramuh as the Reasonable Authority Figure Token Good Teammate of the Primals. As such his fight is painted as a not so Secret Test Of Charater
- Mandragoras and Hildebrand crossdressing
- the introduction of three new members to NOAH. Doga, Unei and Nero all of whom get sucked in by the Cloud of Darkness
- also Doma and Unei give exposition on G'rahan's allagan eye
- And Teledji Alaedji is revealed as Evil All Along

That first point is good to read - I'm glad they didn't prove that one npc I mentioned ages ago right.

Really? The folks on Moogle respect the kill countdown. Or at least the ones in the ls do; random folk who follow us to see what's going on tend to pull at "10".
A society grows great when old men plant trees whose shade they know they will never sit in.Yeah, at least the one time I tried so far.
In other news, really enjoyed Tam-Tara and surprisingly had fun with Stone Vigil, too.
All the new dungeons were good. Tamtara was fucking creepy.
A society grows great when old men plant trees whose shade they know they will never sit in.Yeah, the plot for Tam-Tamra Hard was unexpected, creepy, and sad.
Remember, these idiots drive, fuck, and vote. Not always in that order.Still haven't done Hullbreaker. The group I was dungeoning with had to stop because of weather.
Is it sad that I called all three of the Tam-Tara bosses, in the sequence they came in?
I have 2 books left for my Animus, but fuck, i am so damn drained from the whole thing that I lack motivation to keep going.
Remember, these idiots drive, fuck, and vote. Not always in that order.I;d just finished Tamtara HM and I think Edda might become a recurring villain the subject of in universe urban legends and creepypasta and then elevated into a tragic figure of lore

Have they been optimizing this game lately? It runs silky smooth even on my slow connection.

Okay do you think we need to make a synopsis/recap page for the game story. There seems to be a lot of lore and world building and 1.0's story is literally history at this point. Should we make a page/index chronicling the story of Eorzea as the game moves forward with patches and expansions?
I knew from the ending cutscene of Tam-Tara that we ain't seen the last of her. Like I was watching it, watched her fall off the edge of the platform, and I just sat there for a sec and was like "...we ain't seen the last of her."
Then there came the cutscene when you turn in the quest. I was all "yeah, she'll be back."
In other news, did Hullbreaker yesterday. Fucking spectacular.

Rapidly approaching level 30 on my Arcanist.
Nice Corpse Brigade shout out in South Thanalan. Speaking of, I'm surprised the game doesn't have a shout out page yet. Just about every Final Fantasy gets a little love here and there, even some of the spin offs.
There's more shout outs in that game than you can shake a stick at.
I hear Conjurers are a little dry in the earlier levels (though that seems to be a common issue - I didn't really start enjoying Arcanist until I got Bio 2 at 26), but I'd rather go White Mage than Scholar or Summoner, to be honest. Can any White Mages attest if they're any fun to play?
White Mages don't really have as much to keep track of as a Scholar. Their DPS rotation is rather lacking, and their healing mostly consists of keeping Regen on the tank and casting Cure (and procs of Cure 2) as necessary. They have more cooldowns than a Scholar, but aside from Divine Seal those are mostly useful as panic buttons. The only real challenge to WHM is mana management; the only restore skill they have restores a flat amount every two minutes. Scholars, by contrast, have to keep track of their Aether charges, whether the tank is currently Galvanized and where their pet is located. SCH requires more proactivity on the part of the player, and are a bit harder to use effectively, although they can be absolute beasts when they are.
I guess it depends on how much challenge you like out of your classes. I enjoy both of them, and although I main WHM I actually find myself enjoying SCH more.

A society grows great when old men plant trees whose shade they know they will never sit in.White Mages are more about popping heals as needed and they have more AOE healing to use as well. Holy is great in small doses so that you can buy the party time.
Remember, these idiots drive, fuck, and vote. Not always in that order.I did the Aestheticist's quest just now.
No game can match this one's style. Period.
Okay, I;m gonna ask again; Do you think we should make a page for recapping all the Lore and Story for the people that will is such details? (Either as a synosis page or a Recap page with subpages and tropes from the patche's story lines and side quests)
Example of Recap index Main story:
- 1.0 (The story pre relanch)
- A Realm Reborn (Relaunch up to the end of the Pratorium)
- A Realm Awoken
- Trough the Maelstrom
- Defenders of Eorzea
Side Quests
- Hildebrand
- The Crystal Tower
- The Binding Coil of Bahamut
- Moogle Delivery Quests
I set up a linkshell on Moogle for the hunt. We already have 80 members, and most B- and A-rank marks are pretty much Zerg Rushed to death in seconds.
We're still having trouble spawning an S-rank mark, though.
