3.2 is good, but the combo of 3.1 and 3.2 really slams home how isolated Tomoko is in both the classroom and social environments so I'd vote to put the two together.

I don't think 2 panels are needed. Either 3.1 or 3.2 illustrate the trope in itself, combining them would be superfluous.

I agree that two are unnecessary. 3.1 is better - framing her looking past people visibly doing things together in the background conveys that that's the reason for her broody expression, while .2 is just a stock shot of her sitting at a desk, and it isn't obvious that the greyed-out Faceless Masses are conveying her isolation rather than just being an animation-saving practice.

The image for Creepy Loner Girl is the Hex Maniac trainer class from Pokemon, who certainly fits the bill but that isn't necessarily apparent from just the picture. You can tell the class is creepy but not much in the page image indicates they're loners (and, heck, considering they have a double battle class where they team up with Fairy Tail Girls you could even argue they aren't loners).
