We have determined that Lets Players are not inherently tropable. They need to provide some sort of narrative, characters, and story to be allowed on this wiki. This applies to Vtubers just as much as other content creators, but Kayfabe makes the distinction between streamer and character particularly fuzzy.
The purpose of the thread is to remove tropes from pages concerning Vtubers that apply only to the actor rather than the character.
- If there is not a clear separation between the character and the actor, we assume that it is the actor represented, and thus they are not tropable.
- In other words, it is up to the user writing the example to show that it pertains to the character and not the actor.
- Regardless, the content they produce must meet our standards for Web Video, meaning substantial original and/or transformative material.
- A vlog, review, or Let's Play does not become tropable just because the person doing it has an anime avatar.

PLEASE do not argue over the guidelines here. We've been through that argument too many times and it slows the cleanup effort down. Asking if some grey area meets the guidelines is okay. Arguing that the guidelines should be changed are not. If you would like to discuss the guidelines, go to the Real-Person Troping Policy thread.

Replaced with that.
She/Her | Currently cleaning Char Clone- They Wasted a Perfectly Good Character: Zaion's termination due to her lack of professionalism has led to people to react this way because of the high quality of her model and its rigging, which meshed very well with her energetic personality. With her quick termination, people are mourning for the loss of the character and the amount of work behind her creation (e.g. feeling sorry for Zaion's illustrator).
That's not "a character has a lot of story built-up but don't do anything major".
TroperWall / WikiMagic Cleanup^Cut it. People are saying it’s outright wrong now anyway given what Nijisanji was exposed as.
This was added to Characters.Nijisanji India under Noor's folder by ~spiritsunami:
First off, this isn't related to the character, but the performer behind Noor. Second, this is not information the public is privy to. Rrats must be left out of the objective pages.
"They played us like a DAMN FIDDLE!" — Kazuhira Miller, Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom PainThe text doesn't fit the trope anyway.
TroperWall / WikiMagic CleanupYes. Both talk about the business decisions and mannerisms of Motoaki Tanigo, not any roleplayed scenarios as YAGOO. Cut with extreme prejudice.

"If you spent as much time fightin' as ye did hidin', maybe this wouldn't have happened!"I reverted that edit; I'll do a null edit with a reason.
The tidbit about Noor's Kicked Upstairs has not been addressed.
And they have now added this to Vesper's folder in Characters.Hololive Holostars English Tempus:
- We Hardly Knew Ye: Not Vesper as a whole, as he remained a member for a bit over a year, but specifically his 2.0 model, which was revealed in one of his last streams before graduating.

"They played us like a DAMN FIDDLE!" — Kazuhira Miller, Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom PainThe 2.0 costume is not a character, so it can get rid off. It also had a decent amount of screentime.
TroperWall / WikiMagic CleanupSo this was just added to the Memes.Nijisanji page:
- ANYCOLOR and they chose blackExplanation
Does this belong on the page or no?

If I die, tell Hex Haywire I loved him."Negligible" describes the same topic.
It is a meme, along "kurosanji", but I'm not sure we keep ones about RL controversies. This may need more input from people from Memetic Mutation cleanup.
TroperWall / WikiMagic CleanupSomebody added Angst? What Angst? to the YMMV page for Doki Bird. I already know it's a violation of Audience Reaction with its coverage of Doki's IRL toxic work environment instead of the In-Universe stuff, and thus I'm messaging original editor about this. But it's something I'm bringing up here regardless to bring attention to (and maybe to some other violations I'm not thinking of).

"I know we'll make it cause somehow, the universe is fun now!" ~SanaHonestly, there may be a lot of stuff on the YMMV page that needs to be examined closely, since it relates almost exclusively to the shitstorm between the talent behind Selen/Doki and Nijisanji.
I sent a notifier for that one
I'd watch those pages with close attention, yesterday the contract details were leaked.

TroperWall / WikiMagic CleanupThis was added to Virtual YouTuber:
- Iono, the Gym Leader of Levincia City in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, is an Affectionate Parody of VTubers, since her design and overall character is very reminiscent of the more well-known examples. Her ensemble is quite flamboyant, her hairstyle is quite eccentric, she's quite the Genki Girl, her teeth are serrated (not unlike Gawr Gura from hololive) her Gym Trainers are "Poké Maniacs" (as in, her most loyal fans), and she even appears at the corner of the screen in her Gym Trial, much like how many VTubers' videos are formatted. What makes her veer into parody territory is that despite her fanciful character design, she's not just using a Digital Avatar to hide her real appearance and identity; she really does look like that outside of her videos.
I think she's meant to be a streamer, not a vtuber specifically. Even in the entry itself it says she's not using a digital avatar.
I think this edit strays into IRL troping.

Yeah. I’d remove the Iono section. As far as I know, she’s just a livestreamer.
Help me. I can't get it out of my head.I also looked and doesn't seem like a VTuber for me but a streamer if anything so no objections of removing it.
If we can't confirm it's a bit, it needs to go.
"If you spent as much time fightin' as ye did hidin', maybe this wouldn't have happened!"That's one of those cases that rides the border between RL and in-character, as she frequently contacts CyYu for help with her tech issues, and he lampshades it by labeling some of his streams and social media as "CyYu Tech Support".
What should be done about it, then?
On the Nijisanji page, someone seems to be trying to do some real life troping about ANYCOLOR Inc itself. More specifically, some of the more questionable practices of the company (Control Freak, Evil Is Petty).
Continue the bloodline, Fujimaru!
Remove the first spoilered sentence, and remove the spoiler tag for the second part, rephrasing that sentence to:
Likely to create a Trivia page with You Might Remember Me from... which curtly details what Dokibird can say about Selen's tenure in Nijisanji during the return stream, since it's one the very few times where VTuber Kayfabe is broken and openly discussed.
