The Boss Theme Game

Basically, you post a song and the next troper describes what a Boss Battle using it would be like. I start.

Psyclon Nine - Flesh Harvest

A Flunky Boss where you fight agains the Zombie King Mook and every other Zombie that you haven’t killed yet, at once. It’s a Climax Boss that heralds the end of the Zombie Apocalypse before you fight the actual destroyer of society.

Celldweller - My Disintegration

A combination Background Boss and Cores-and-Turrets Boss against a giant android. By attacking the cores, you damage the boss until the second phase. The second phase involves using reflector plated drones to reflect the lasers shot by turrets back at the boss.

Little V - Battle Cry

The Final Boss, the admiral in charge of all the Cannon Fodder you’ve annihilated over the course of the game. A Tragic Villain with a Dark and Troubled Past, he knows the battle against the Player Character will be his last. It’s a Duel Boss, no bells, no whistles, just you and a broken Mini-Mecha in a duel to the death.

Gustav Holst - Uranus

The Anthropomorphic Personification of Uranus, fought as the easy opponent at the start of a Boss Rush against the personifications of all of the Solar System’s planets.

Excision - Brutal

The battle against a mid-game Arrogant Kung-Fu Guy Rush Boss. He’s got plenty of massive attacks to throw out, but the player can spot some openings in his more heavy-hitting attacks, especially his Desperation Attack.

Slightly harder than usual for a Warm-Up Boss, but still a Warm-Up Boss.

Adam X - Steel Shredder

The boss of a Quake-like game where you are stuck in a dark, maze-like map with only a shotgun. Said boss is some dark-gritty cyborg that's The Brute for the Big Bad.

The Prodigy - Invaders Must Die

A mid-game boss in a Retraux 8-bit game, probably The Big Guy.

acolyte - ageing fortress

Fighting an aging but still powerful enemy. And it's misty everywhere.

Not a "battle", per se, but rather this Boss sees you facing off against your best bud in a friendly skateboarding match. The venue is a skate park where you spent much of your childhood together. As you rack up points and combos, your friend reminisces through the events that led to this moment, culminating in both of you reaffirming your friendship, and promise to support one another in times of need. Fail to reach the score target and your buddy will wonder when did you lost your touch.

You're being chased by a neon robot through an arcade and must get out before it catches you. The music is made by the robot, and fades as you get farther. The voice is made by a racing game that is part of the robot. It ends abruptly when you escape.

Algo and Dubloadz - Despair

The heroes have broke into the Empire’s main weapon factories. Realizing he’s facing a losing battle, the lead scientist sets the factory to self destruct, then climbs into a prototype mech suit to engage the heroes himself. The party must defeat the boss and escape the factory before it’s too late.

You, The Villain Protagonist are so close to conquering the semi-final area and have to go through a Jungle and a Tundra when your done conquering them the Goddesses of Frost and Nature come to attack you, fend of their attacks while managing your temperature and a horde of minions to eventually kill them.

A Warm-Up Boss who thinks that America's past actions were Necessarily Evil.

Behemoth - Slaves Shall Serve

You fight against a demon with the a dragon equivalent rank in the realm. You notice...they're aren't one. They're multiple creatures trapped in bodies switching control. The demon body molds to suit their needs and the boss battle healthbar switches each time the soul switches. When you kill every soul inside...Phase 2 starts and you are fighting against all of them at once while a remix of this track plays. The whole thing happens above a volcano.

A Flunky Boss who sends book minions after you, all titled “A Little Tale of Mine”. When you kill them, he fights you with books that have the same title.

Funker Vogt - Fabrik

A factory robot who Turned Against Their Masters. An utterly relentless boss that is Immune to Flinching and bombards you with Roboteching lasers and a Macross Missile Massacre . Can either team up with the Big Bad or join the party depending on the player’s choices.

An incredibly powerful sorcerer that can control your party members like puppets. The Dragon and a Disc-One Final Boss.

Death Grips - I’ve Seen Footage

The boss is a huge brawler, and the PC gets into a fist fight with him in a back alley at night. And the hero may or may not be on hallucinogens.

A Well-Intentioned Extremist who would be a Hero with an F in Good if he was on the good guys' side.
