The Trailing punctuation in trope custom titles thread, as well as many, many discussions over the past ten and a half years, have made it obvious that we need a centralized discussion thread for page titles. I intend for this thread to be a place to both discuss titles and request they be changed.
(If you're looking to capitalize an existing wikiword, there's a different thread for that.)
But no one refers Nomus as “Artificial Humans”. The “Nomus” is official name and “Artificial Humans” is the secondary one. Also, the change of names in custom titles is actually allowed. I’ve seen others’ being approved

Also, I’m not planning to change the link itself but to display a different name on the pages
"the change of names in custom titles is actually allowed"
If you see these, please report them because that's not true.
TroperWall / WikiMagic CleanupYour request to retitle "ShortRunners" to "Other Short Runners" has been declined.
This would need a page move request, not just a custom title - title changes are generally only for formatting (caps and punctuation etc.).
More generally, Short-Runners is the main trope page — some media types do get their own subpages, but that doesn't make ShortRunners "Other".
I submitted it but then realized it wasn't something I wanted and didn't know how to cancel it.
I know more about obscure 1990s Middle Grade Literature novels than most people.Oh see the problem. I want to move the page, I want to retitle the page instead
And for that, please check out How to Move a Page.
I had a dog-themed avatar before it was cool.Should VideoGame. The BOSSA Jacksepticeye Fan Game be at VideoGame. The Boss A Jacksepticeye Fan Game (capitalised as "BOSS" via wikiword?) EDIT: Also VideoGame. The BOSS Is Nothing.
It's not like Boss is an acronym.

Yes, they should have their capitalization fixed in the appropriate thread.
I had a dog-themed avatar before it was cool. The following request will be declined:
- The Indrema Revolution -> The Indrema Revolution - An Alternate History of Indrema, Pop Culture, and Gaming
If you want to add extra words to the title, that requires a page move request.
she/her | TRS needs your help! | Contributor of Trope ReportI’m not surprised… I should’ve read that first. D’oh!

I watched The Simpsons, therefore, I'm a simp, son. Please do not use custom wiki word to replace words with other words. This will require a page move.
The following will be declined:
- Fairy Tail Galuna Island Arc -> Fairy Tail Sub-Zero Emperor Lyon Arc
- Fairy Tail Lullaby Arc -> Fairy Tail Eisenwald Arc
- Fairy Tail Fighting Festival Arc -> Fairy Tail The Battle of Fairy Tail Arc
- Fairy Tail Fairy Tail Revival Arc -> Fairy Tail Avatar Arc
But this was allowed to My Hero Academia recap pages so why now it is declined?
Oh I see the problem. No, I'm not planning to remove the link to the page. I just want to change Custom Display
Since I now see where to look, I've resubmitted Recap. My Hero Academia custom titles to match their wikiwords.

TroperWall / WikiMagic CleanupAlso, may I request the Villain Hunt arc and Deku vs. Class 1A arc be deleted and fused into one arc because chapter 307-328 belong to one arc
This thread is specifically for discussing custom titles. If you want to do major changes on recap pages, you can start a Short-Term and invite people who know more about the work there.
TroperWall / WikiMagic CleanupWhere can I do so? At Ask The Tropers?
ATT is for issues with or queries about the site and other users. If you want to merge the pages, you’ll have to do it yourself (unless someone else is willing to do so).
back lolI've noticed Deus ex Machina is now spelled as "Deus ex machina" instead of "Deus ex Machina".

TroperWall / WikiMagic CleanupSubmitted a revert request.
I had a dog-themed avatar before it was cool.Disambiguating Manhunt -> Manhunt (2024) needs a move request, not just a custom title, so this has been declined.
Custom titles are for styling, punctuation and abbreviation.
The request to rename MetalSlugCodeJ -> Metal Slug: Awakening isn't in scope for this.
That would need a page move, not just a custom title, so the request is declined.
The repeat request to rename MetalSlugCodeJ -> Metal Slug: Awakening has been declined, for the same reasons given in the previous post). Resubmitting it won't change this — you need to consider a page history move or other options.
(And either type of move needs some level of consensus from other tropers - unilateral page moves are generally a very bad idea)
The request to rename FairyTailStrongestTeam -> Fairy Tail's Strongest Team is declined for the same reasons. Even if you're just adding an extra s, that's not what custom titles are intended for.
~Nic Master Trope — Declined your request to custom title Characters. My Hero Academia Artificial Humans to "My Hero Academia - Nomu" because using custom titles to change pages' names is not allowed.
Patiently awaiting the release of Paper Luigi and the Marvelous Compass.
