Sandbox for this Project: TLP Adoption Drive
Per Let's Improve the TLP, this project thread aims to tackle good-condition drafts (ie. a solid concept, a good description, and a decent number of examples) that have been declared Up for Grabs, either directly by their sponsor or via the two-month rule. These drafts ideally just need some more TLC by a willing and capable sponsor before launch.
Feel free to bring drafts that you think could be adoptable to the Sandbox. This thread is for the purposes of discussion regarding the sandbox, as well as existing drafts — whether they are good-quality enough to be adoptable, getting them adopted, and what needs to be done about them before launch. (Unworkable and low-quality drafts should be brought to the TLP Discard Project instead.)
Right, OP is out of the way. To start off, how does the sandbox look? I started off by searching UFG in the TLP search bar and listing okay-looking drafts with a decent hats/bombs ratio from the search results. Does the 'adoption system' look okay so far?
Looks good to me.
Two other things to mention in the OP are the Trope Idea Sounding Board thread and the Trope Idea Salvage Yard. You've linked it in the sandbox, but ya know, linking it twice can't hurt.

Currently Working On: Incorruptible Pure PurenessFunny, we have a thread doing something similar: https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/posts.php?discussion=15526174620A45763400
Contains 20% less fat than the leading value brand! That one was bogged down by almost immediate debate and stuff (mostly my fault, but hey) and I think we should just stick with this one for a clean slate.
Currently Working On: Incorruptible Pure PurenessJust curious what you all thought.

Contains 20% less fat than the leading value brand! On that note, here's three drafts that could use sponsors. They're in pretty good condition and just need someone to get them ready to launch:
Currently Working On: Incorruptible Pure PurenessI guess I'll get the ball rolling. I adopted Embarrassing Hobby and Zero to Hero.
Considering adopting Mirror Explanation if nobody is interested.
Currently Working On: Incorruptible Pure PurenessI've been digging into the depths a bit and I've found some drafts, so they're being added to the list.
Currently Working On: Incorruptible Pure PurenessBeen thinking about how to advertise this initiative... it's in my sig, but I haven't had much time for TVT lately. Maybe when adopting something, post about this once you announce your adoption?
I added a mess of drafts from the "Launchbox" section of the Discard project sandbox — not all of them, just the ones that I thought were most worthy/less likely to get bogged down over something.
If anyone disagrees with one, feel free to boot it out.
Considering adopting Cactus Cushion and Self-Punishment Over Failure once my personal backlog clears up a little. If anyone wants to take them before I can, though, feel free.
Currently Working On: Incorruptible Pure PurenessIs it ok if I take Cactus Cushion?
I'm mainly a fan of underrated media.Go for it.
Currently Working On: Incorruptible Pure Pureness~Dghcrh, remember to update the sandbox so we know you claimed it.
Currently Working On: Incorruptible Pure PurenessAlright, Self-Punishment Over Failure is mine.
Currently Working On: Incorruptible Pure PurenessI have been trying without much success to clean out my TLP watchlist since before this year started. My watchlist is so long, the drafts I have adopted keep getting lost in the shuffle of drafts I considered adopting and then didn't. If the sandbox for this thread is what I think it is, I think I just found a place to put the latter drafts where I can still remember and find them. Or someone else could adopt and care for them and that would make me happy too.
If not for this anchor I'd be dancing between the stars. At least I can try to write better vampire stories than Twilight. There's still a TLP watchlist?
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanYou know how when you look at the list of all drafts, each draft has a little thumbs up button? (I've grumbled before about how the image should be an eyeball instead.) You can click that button, but then you'll have to refresh the page to see that the button is now highlighted. Then you can go to the top of the list and sort by "all" or "flagged". Sorting by "flagged", that's your personal TLP watchlist.

If not for this anchor I'd be dancing between the stars. At least I can try to write better vampire stories than Twilight.Yeah, go ahead and toss yours on the list if you haven't yet.
Currently Working On: Incorruptible Pure PurenessBorrowed, Not Stolen is a draft that needs clarification on which scenario it's trying to trope: when "borrowing" is used as a euphemism for stealing, or when borrowing genuinely goes awry. The draft is problematic, but I don't think the draft is problematic enough to warrant bringing it to the Trope Launch Pad Discard Project to be scrapped, put in the salvage yard, and restarted. But I'd like a second opinion.
If not for this anchor I'd be dancing between the stars. At least I can try to write better vampire stories than Twilight. From the description alone, it sounds like it's about "borrowing" as Insistent Terminology, including in situations where they may have meant to return it but they still took it without asking. And the second paragraph is just describing different possible variations on the scenario.
Right, okay, but I wasn't asking about what the scope was. I was asking about whether to keep modifying that draft or move the contents to a new draft.
The "One Job!" Mistake is another scope-problematic draft that I'm not sure is bad enough to send to the scrapyard for recycling. The discussion is mostly people saying "the title shouldn't be this" with responses of "aw, phooey", and other people saying "the scope shouldn't be that, tweak it to this". Again, I'm not certain whether it's worth it to apply the elbow grease to that draft or move the contents to a new draft and apply the elbow grease there, and would like a second opinion.

If not for this anchor I'd be dancing between the stars. At least I can try to write better vampire stories than Twilight.I'm still not entirely sure what that draft is about, TBH, and I've had it explained like five times. Dunno what to do with it.
