Duplicate Trope (single prop 12 March 2020): Infidelitytropes

Most likely, they're being deleted because Your Cheating Heart isn't a trope anymore and the people doing cleanup aren't familiar with the story in question. If you are, you're welcome to add the example back under one of the tropes in the Infidelity Index.

For my part, the vast majority of the entries I've deleted have been along the lines of "these two characters have an affair" with little to no context.

"Characters commit adultery" isn't a trope in and of itself, in the absence of additional detail or context, which is the exact reason why YCH was detroped.

And in some cases, there just isn't another trope to move it to. Not everything is salvageable.

I fixed the Linking to an Article Within the Article wick that was on one of the examples in the sandbox. But, yeah I think the sandbox is ready to be swapped in.

nevermind, I've archived the pre-2018 entries on that page. That should take care of the issue. I've also handled the remaining wicks, save for Does This Remind You Of A Wick Check, Trope Report Dummy Edition and Sandbox.Hypocrite Wick Checks which will be cut when they are no longer necessary.

Your Cheating Heart accrued five or so more wicks; I removed them and PM'd the tropers who used it. I think this'll require some occasional maintenance.

I swapped in the sandbox to Main.Good Adultery Bad Adultery and cutlisted it. I noticed that it's indexed under both Your Cheating Heart and Infidelity Index — any idea why?

GABA wicks require looking through to remove misuse.

It's a shame that I can't easily investigate that matter as is. I'll temporarily break off the redirect to see if it can be fixed.

Edit: Even curiouser: YCH is still seen as indexed, but it is correctly classified as a redirect.

I've learned that temporarily removing the redirect code, opening the page type settings and saving with no changes, and putting the redirect back fixes the ghost indexing (or whatever it's called). Give me a bit and I'll see if it works.

Edit: Good Adultery, Bad Adultery is no longer showing up as being indexed by Your Cheating Heart, so it looks like it worked.

Edit: Also, if there's a way to open the page type settings for a redirect, I don't know about it.

Yes, although we had talked about swapping in the current description for a modified version of Analysis.Cuckold. We can use Sandbox.Cuckold for this.

OK, I see that Your Cheating Heart has been renamed but there are still a number of wicks to clean up. Good Adultery, Bad Adultery seems to be done, instead. Is Sandbox.Cuckold meant to become Emasculated Cuckold?
