This image was suggested for Relieving the Reaper in the Image Suggestion thread. However, this image is already being used on Subbing for Santa. Since the former is a Sub-Trope of the latter, the obvious course of action is to move it there instead and find a replacement with someone who isn't the Grim Reaper. On a minor note, I think the version that was suggested in the thread is slightly better quality than the current on SFS.

Relieving the Reaper is a subtrope, so move it there.

I think it's best if Santa himself weren't used, since according to the description it can apply to any mythological figure. Relieving the Reaper is narrow enough that I don't think it's a problem in that case, but using the Trope Namer as the page image tends to make it seem more narrow to the casual troper.

A possible replacement for Subbing for Santa: Olive the Other Reindeer, in which one of Santa's reindeer was filled in by the main character.

Seconding moving what's there to Relieving the Reaper.

This is a bit confusing. If we shouldn't use a Santa image, then 9 doesn't work.

Note that most of the examples on the page are Santa, but if we want to remind people that this isn't just about Santa, then — and I obviously agree with the above discussion — we shouldn't use a Santa image.

EDIT: I also meant to suggest this other Heracles and Atlas image (I guess that's "13.3").

I think both the Atlas images rely on knowing the myth (otherwise they look like two dudes holding a giant ball). 13.2 isn’t terribly clear that he’s the Easter Bunny, but I suppose it can be inferred easily enough.[tup]

If the idea is to get across that Subbing for Santa involves more than just literally subbing for Santa Claus, then I support 13.2 too. Content from the page and a good caption should provide the necessary context.

This one's past the clocking point. The Family Guy pic's moved to Relieving the Reaper and 13.2's on Subbing for Santa. Locking up.
