Been waiting for this game for years. It looks fantastic. Even if it's based more on Mario Sunshine and the like, the mafia town and the woods still get me nostalgic for Sly 3 and Spongebob Squarepants: Battle for Bikini Bottom respectively.

I'm surprised how weird and cute this game is. I thought it was just a platformer but then I saw footage from the train murder mystery. Going to have to keep an eye on it.
"But don't give up hope. Everyone is cured sooner or later. In the end we shall shoot you." - O'Brien, 1984The game just released and MY GOD this game is awesome. It keeps finding new ways to surprise and impress me.
Any word of a Switch release?
The Protomen enhanced my life.Isn't this game supposed to be out on consoles too? I can't find it on PSN at all. I also want to know if co-op is still the way it was back in the beta, since I can't find any recent videos showing that off.
Yeah, been getting conflicting information on that. Some places said all versions were supposed to be released at the same time, but a lot of other places (especially recently) have been saying that consoles will be later. Kind of a shame, since I want to get into the game before a bunch of Youtube thumbnails spoil something for me, but I suppose this'll give my wallet a break.
I could get it for Steam, but I've already double-dipped for Cuphead (despite not owning an X Box One) and want A Hat in Time for the PS 4 for accessibility reasons.

According to our trope page, the console versions should be out later this year.
If a tree falls in the forest and nobody remembers it, who else will you have ice cream with?So I have a question: in Act 2, is it at all possible for DJ Groove to win, and then he's the boss fight? Or is it always The Conductor?
I haven't gotten that far. Still need the hookshot for Train Rush.
The Official word from GFB is that console versions are supposed to be out "This Fall", which could be anytime from today to December 21.

"I'll show you all of Paris, I'll take you on a tour, we'll go up and up and up so high they'll long for an encore!"Well, I finished the game. My post-completion thoughts: it was a little too short, had a few camera issues, and had plenty of annoying big-lipped alligator moments, but overall, it was really really good. The controls were perfect, and let me pull off maneuvers other 3D platformers wouldn't. The levels were bursting with creativity in a way I haven't seen since the Mario Galaxy games, and I never knew what the next level would hold. The graphics were nice and colorful, though I think the original cel-shaded look was a bit better. The music was good too, and I hope Pascal Michael Stiefel composes more in the future, I really love his style. And the whole thing was full of humor, charm and cuteness. It really felt like a lot of love and care went into this game. Overall, I'd give it a 9 out of 10. Might be my game of the year. We'll see. In the meantime I'll play for 100% completion, and maybe even try a few speedruns?
@truthhurts22 Pretty sure it's possible, otherwise, why would the game give you a "Do you want to declare The Conductor the winner" message and a choice of yes or no when you choose act 6?
Some of these achievements are brutal. Clearing the Train Rush without dying OR picking up time bonuses? Making it through the parade without touching the audience? Beating a boss with the one-hit badge active?
I get the feeling that those achievements did not have the keyboard in mind when they were added.
The question on act 2? Yes, I actually got DJ Grooves. I was planning on having them tie to see what happens, but then I accidentally overscored on DJ's first mission, because it's very easy to farm points in that, and had no hope of getting the Conductor's score up.

If everyone were normal, the world would be a dull place. Like reality television.Absolutely loving this game. Extreme adorableness aside, even just basic gameplay, the detail-filled worlds (especially mafia land) and awesome array of movement options leave other collecathons in the dust.
Aaand 100%'d it over a handful of days. Short but a veery sweet ride.
I actually easily overshot on Conductor's missions, compared to DJ's, and had to farm him up specifically. I got a super-high score on the bomb train due to abuse of Time Hat.
That also made the last boss hilarious. She was doing the Flash Step all over the place, then teleports-behind-you... And I just stop time myself and pull right back at her. Literally this.

Did you get all the achievements?
If everyone were normal, the world would be a dull place. Like reality television. What achievements, steam? I don't use it.
Fair enough. Is there a way to tell if you've gotten all the available roulette coins? Because I'm 60% sure that it's not possible to get all of those prizes as of yet.
If everyone were normal, the world would be a dull place. Like reality television.Pretty sure they show up on the radar badge, so if you've got no pings on any worlds then that's it.
And yes, I cheated the tokens and spammed it. There was a batch of extra flairs that only started showing after exhausting all the legit obtainable ones (i.e. the slot wheel only had one option, then had new option, then another one - but without actual randomness at any point)

Modding support for the Steam version releases today. It requires opting into a beta branch of the game that explicitly supports modding and there's just the Freedom Planet and Psychonauts hats for now, but I imagine the rest of the planned hats will show up soon enough.

"I'll show you all of Paris, I'll take you on a tour, we'll go up and up and up so high they'll long for an encore!"I really wanna get this game on Steam. A re-imagined 3D platformer in the vain of Super Mario 64 or Banjo Kazooie, starring an insanely adorable protagonist, lots of unique charm and has Steam Workshop support? What's not to love!?
" I'm the princess! Everyone has to do what I say!"It's a bit short and doesn't make much sense.
Well, you asked! But seriously, the game is really fun and I highly recommend it for fans of the genre.
I somehow glitched out the final boss, and they didn't spawn for their second phase.
No idea what I did, though.
If everyone were normal, the world would be a dull place. Like reality television.Cel-shading being cost-effective was news to me.
also those console dates need to materialize posthaste i can barely wait
This game is delightful.
It's a neat 3D platform game about a cute kid in a stylish outfit. Releasing on Windows and Mac, PS 4, and Xbox One. Due out next week for Windows and Mac, on October 5.
We have a trope page about it.
