The series was meant to premiere November 29 on Syfy, but now it's coming December 6th at 10 PM. In the meantime, enjoy these photos from the pilot episode.

Happy! is an adaptation of Grant Morrison and Darick Robertson’s Image Comics series of the same name. According to the official synopsis, “the series follows Nick Sax — an intoxicated, corrupt ex-cop turned hit man — who is adrift in a world of casual murder, soulless sex and betrayal. After a hit gone wrong, his inebriated life is forever changed by a tiny, relentlessly positive, imaginary blue winged horse named ‘Happy.’”

The show stars Christopher Meloni as Sax and Patton Oswalt as Happy. Executive producers Morrison (Batman, The Invisibles) and Brian Taylor (Crank, Gamer) co-wrote the pilot. Neal Moritz, Pavun Shetty, Toby Jaffe, Meloni and showrunner Patrick Macmanus (Marco Polo) will also executive produce. Taylor directed the pilot.

(Could've sworn Happy was being voiced by Bobby Moynihan, but Patton's cool, too.)

So the first episode has aired. I haven't watched it yet - will watch the whole miniseries once it's out. I did go to comixology and get the book and read through that, though. Was kinda eh on it. Once scene I particularly liked in issue three.

Fanfiction I hate.

I just loved this series. Just my cup of tea.

Ultraviolence, dark humour, noir vibe... I just can't recommend this enough.

Plus, I love Christopher Meloni acting.
