Yeah, that's way too clunky and out-of-context...send it to the pokey.
Throw it in the slammer.
(Annoyed grunt)Force it to do community service. Er, I mean pull.
she/her | TRS needs your help! | Contributor of Trope ReportApparently, this vehicle◊ that was decorated like a character from Transformers (the character Barricade) was similar enough to real cop cars that three cops pulled the owner over and gave him "a summons to appear in court on a charge of Impersonating a Police Officer." (article here)
Also pull current regardless of replacement.

Look at all that shiny stuff ain't they prettyUnless he was intentionally doing so to impersonate a police officer, it's Not An Example. Ditch it.
Not sure how well we could distinguish examples of this from cops turning against each other... GTA2's protagonist acquiring a correctional officer's uniform by just stepping into the guard room, perhaps?

Again, it does not need to be an example.
Look at all that shiny stuff ain't they prettyBut it should be, if possible. In this case, I'd prefer no image to one that's not an example.
...if you don’t love you’re dead, and if you do, they’ll kill you for it.If it looks like an example, it's good enough for me as an image, and better than no image.
Check out my fanfiction! It's fine to pull it down if peeps think it may not be a good example.
I saw an image in Shooter where a terrorist was seen removing paint stencil (not sure if you can call it that) over a van so that it can impersonate a German police vehicle, but I suspect that's not enough...
Another option; Joker at the police parade.

Here's a clear shot◊, but without the Joker makeup he just can pass for a regular officer with a mouth scar (which I guess was the point...).
Miss Pauling◊ from the TF 2 comics? Not obviously criminal, but her costume's ill-fitting and her moustache is obviously fake, at least.

It's also on Good Scars, Evil Scars.
Tentative

Spiral out, keep going.13.2 is pretty good.
You've got roaming bands of armed, aggressive, tyrannical plumbers coming to your door, saying "Use our service, or else!"How could that not be mistaken for "guy with long hair whole police department didn't have the money for uniforms in that size?"
That page image includes different characters from different movies. I'm sure we could much more easily find an alternate example of "evil scars" to use, such as Scar◊, Osborne,◊ Vader, Quaritch,◊ Azog,◊ or Trevelyan,◊ for starters.
One would think an officer who was injured on the job visibly enough to frighten people would be assigned to desk duty from that point forward. I much prefer 13.1 over 13.2.

I think 13.2 get the message across
If 13.1, just crop out the text there.
13.1 works for me.

I think that's a better fit for Putting the Band Back Together.
I'm good with the one I suggested in 6, or 13.2.
The Joker image would work for me but it's already on Good Scars, Evil Scars.
Since Putting the Band Back Together is currently image-less, I'd prefer 20 for Putting the Band Back Together so it has something rather than nothing.
Look at all that shiny stuff ain't they prettyWhat of what I mentioned in post #16?
Putting the Band Back Together could always be replaced with something else.
Your suggestions are either not clearly "evil" or not similar enough to the "good" scar to be helpful to understand the differences, imo. The good scar is clean and clear, whereas the evil scar is rough and ambiguous (it's a bunch of different scars in one). Ultimately, though, I don't think the current over there needs to be replaced in the first place. That's also a "Keep Until Better Image Suggested" vote from me.
Look at all that shiny stuff ain't they pretty
Crown Description:
Nominations for replacement images:
I really don't think the current is demonstrative enough of the trope. Without context it can just as plausibly be seen as a Dirty Cop getting arrested by one of his colleagues. Plus, why so many pictures?
Note: I've actually tried looking for an image to field for this trope in the Image Suggestion thread before, but ran into the same problem. You effectively need something like a blatant crook putting on the uniform to really depict the trope.
