It's a literal illustration of the title, a shaggy frog. Not at all illustrative.
Doesn't the thread reasons thread say Visual Puns should be kept if there's no suggestion?
^ Thing is I couldn't even make out that it's supposed to be a frog in the picture.

A Visual Pun that actually works, that will tend to be kept around. In this case, I have to agree with eroock, that doesn't look like a frog...looks more like a green sheep than anything.
Hmm, I suppose you're right. I wonder if there's a Scooby-Doo Fairy Tale-type thing where Shaggy is turned into a frog.
Well, there's a species of frog with hairlike structures on its body, Trichobatrachus robustus◊.
That's great.

Going with BUPKIS for now. Not feeling the suggestion.
If a tree falls in the forest and nobody remembers it, who else will you have ice cream with?I feel like only the middle-middle part adds to the trope.
Works for me.

Same here.
(Annoyed grunt)I don't think that text really adds anything to the trope.
There's still a tiny bit of the text panel visible in @11, but otherwise it's good.
We got enough consensus for 11, so switching it in. Caption ideas?
Old pic for reference:

Eh, I still prefer 7, but it's almost certainly not gonna happen now.
100% prefer the visual pun, the XKCD seems... not really the trope, honestly. I mean, it follows the letter of the trope but not really its spirit. Not to mention the heavy lifting is done by text (though the parent with a book certainly helps).
Together those just make me really iffy on the image.
Found a Youtube Channel with political stances you want to share? Hop on over to this page and add them. Why did you two wait until now—after consensus was reached—to share your dissent? If you pitched in earlier, we could have discussed it a little more.
However, for the sake of fairness, we can discuss your points. Personally, I feel that Visual Pun images are fine, but if there's a solid pic depicting a straight example presented, usually the latter is preferrable. If a straight example can't be depicted for whatever reason, the pun route would be a viable possibility. For this case, as long as the webcomic panel chosen illustrates the trope clearly, I'm okay with it.
Now, if anyone else feels that the Visual Pun route is preferred over the webcomic panel, speak up now. Otherwise, figure out a caption if the current needs one.
she/her | TRS needs your help! | Contributor of Trope ReportI was attempting to concede, I just did it terribly. I wouldn't want to change it now that it's up.
No caption discussion; locking up.
I am lost at to what the image on "Shaggy Frog" Story tries to communicate. Please assist.
