Mid 50's or early 60's. It looked like a peaceful time to live, besides the psychological terror of the Cold War.
And the racism.
And the — well, you get it.
borkMaybe 1994-1996, so I could have memories of old Toonami and life pre-9/11.
"A buddy is a buddy no matter how nutty."A few centuries from now, when most people have (hopefully) finally gotten their priorities in order.
Still a great "screw depression" song even after seven years.Early 80s would be nice.
Yeah, it's pretty cool. (Born in 1981)
I wouldn't mind being born in the early 70s, so I could be a teenager in the 80s. When I was a kid, I was SO looking forward to the Totally Radical fashion and the ginormous hair! But by the time I became a teenager who could afford my own fashion and hairstyles, it was The '90s: Time for Grunge, Gangsta Rap (especially in my inner city neighborhood!), and The Rachel. UGH!! At least the video games were cool.
It would be interesting to be born in the future, too; I wouldn't mind coming back as my daughter's great-great-great granddaughter. I'd be curious to see if humanity has gotten their act together and what the technology looks like.
1289.
So I can live to the ripe old age of dying at childbirth. Or, in case I survive, I don't know, I have a fondness for that time period. I'd be interested in witnessing/participating in the the Wars of Scottish Independence for example.

"All you Fascists bound to lose."A few decades later. It would be best to go through the COVID-19 Pandemic as a young child or not at all. There would probably be less mistreatment of autistic people, and disabled people in general would have more dignity and freedom. Society will probably be more respectful of people's bodily autonomy, which means that I might be able to get a hysterectomy even though I'm not transgender. Technology would be greatly improved, including medical care. All in all, the future sounds pretty great.
On the other hand, I'm so uncomfortable with change that sometimes I wonder if I would have been better off if I'd been born into a pre-agriculture hunter-gatherer tribe, where everything stayed pretty much the same during my lifetime.
i sorta wish i was born around 10 years earlier than i actually was, so around the early 90s. i love the aesthetic and vibe of early internet culture and the emo/scene subculture that was large during the 2000s, and being a teenager then and not now seems pretty appealing to me. yeah, there was that whole invading iraq and fear of terrorism and great recession but look: theres a pandemic right now and america has been in the middle east for decades. i'll trade it off. i want a fucking myspace account man.
and the public won't dwell on my transmission cause it wasn't televised.I'm actually quite content with my time of birth (1988). It helps that my religious beliefs include "God put you on Earth at this time because this time will help you grow the most."

She/they. Hirrus Clutumnus is my comfort characterI wish I wasn't born at all if I'm being completely honest here. Outside of that? I don't want to change it. I think 2000 is an alright year to start out in.

Sometimes do you ever get that feeling that you wish you were born in a different time?
Me? I wish I was born in 1990. I was born in 1996 so that means I was a 2000's kid. But a lot of my childhood treasures came from the 90's; and they've REALLY stuck out in my mind. (Such as the early years of Cartoon Network and Nintendo 64) Although I have very fond memories of my 2000's stuff. I wish that I was born six years earlier so that I can be a real 90's kid. Oh well, guess I'll just have to wait until after this life so that I can be reborn in 1990 in an alternate universe.
What year you wish YOU were born in instead?
