Needs Help: Street Samurai

The image in question is a crop of another image by a specific artist, but more importantly, is of a character that is the artist's own creation. (Link to the artist's site page for said character.) This is the kind of image we'd almost certainly need the artist's permission to use, but it doesn't look like we have it.

So we have a choice here: try to get the artist's permission, or just find a new image. The latter would be simple enough (I'm sure we could easily grab something Shadowrun related), but the current image could still work. So...how do we proceed?

Ghost Dog◊, perhaps?

Don't think that's quite Cyberpunk enough to qualify (especially the outfit).

Since I brought up Shadowrun, have a cropped and resized picture from the cover of the Street Samurai's Catalog◊.

Those are all a bit too...not sure what, but I don't get the same feel from them that I do from the other suggestions.

Reading the trope you gotta have that kind of edginess. They are "mercenaries, bounty hunters, assassins, bodyguards and general badasses of the urban jungle" wielding bladed weaponry and such, often cybernetic.

The trope even says these are closer to Rōnin and Ninjas instead of actual samurai, Corporate Samurai are portrayed as actual Samurai.

Well, Genji isn't listed on that page, and for a fairly good reason - he's not really an "anti-authoritarian loner". (Besides, he'd probably fit better on Cyber Ninja anyway.)

I think Willbyr's problem is the "street" aspect - traditionally, these guys aren't going to have all their cyber limbs and armor and such as clean and shining metal. That's the kind of thing that makes this trope visually tricky - they should look somewhat futuristic with cyberware and equipment, but it should really have a Used Future vibe. I don't think Raiden does, and the current image (which I'm probably about to pull) doesn't exactly do that well either.

Ghost Dog could possibly work for Mc Samurai, which currently has a Visual Pun as an image.

What about the image that's currently on Katana? We could easily find a replacement for it.
