Made in Abyss, yes.
Watch SymphogearMade in Abyss. Though I hesitate to show it to any friends or family because of some of the jokes.
I also liked Isekai Shokudo and Hero Academia.

"I'll show you fear, there is no hell, only darkness." My twitterThat was also exceptionally good.
Not sure it counts, but awesome nonetheless.
I'll second Princess Principal. If you're interested in a good steampunk, spy-thriller, with well done intrigue and action.
"If you are going through hell, keep going." - Winston ChurchillI will attest to Tsurezure Children being one of my favorite short anime. Enjoyed the humor in it, variety of different couples with their own dynamics.
Thirding Princess Principal.

Nthing Made in Abyss, Gamers! and Tsurezure Children. Will also soft-rec Isekai Shokudou and Knights & Magic.
LTTP first episode impressions:
- Dies Irae: Uh, it's okay, I guess. Waiting to see what the fuss is about.
- Sho-Bitch: Fairly standard sex-humor kinda show.
- Inuyashiki: It really layed on the drama for the old guy (no self-respecting doctor would just casually tell his patient that he has cancer) but hey, it works. Robo grandpa is one of my favorite people this season.
Zodiac War, Episode 3 - Yep, this is definitely going the direction that I feared after watching the first episode. If you're the POV character of the episode and get your backstory fleshed out, you're slated to die. The fact that horse supposedly got off-screened makes me believe the character is actually still alive and just escaped.
But yeah, if the characters really die in order of how they appear in the ED, this series just got super predictable.
I REALLY dug Inuyashiki's first episode. A refreshing take on the classic superhero formula, with a lot of humanity to it. I'm curious to see how this will develop. Hell, I even found the CG animation pretty good (except a few scenes with the dog).
Flippé de participer à ce grand souper, je veux juste m'occuper de taper mon propre tempo.Mahoutsukai no Yome is so frigging good! Like, my favorite show of the season so far.

It's the Zodiac War. The story of the Eastern Zodiac is that all the animals were invited to a feast and the order they arrived in determined their prestige (making it a race of sorts). The Ox was the fastest/strongest/whatever, but the Rat managed to trick the Ox into giving him a ride and got there first. There, I spoiled an old fable for you.

The OVA spoils the presence of one later character joining the main cast (though honestly the anime doesn't make much of an attempt to hide it either) and a later development in the middle of the manga, but it was just a passing mention so if you really want to watch everything in order then the OVA should be watched later.
Speaking of Inuyashiki, anyone else got problems where Amazon is showing the subtitles for episode 1 over episode 2?
Because between this and Re:Creators gross incompetence in showing stuff subtitled is becoming a running theme with shows on Amazon.
Jesus Christ. That kid needs to be spanked. And I'm going to have to wait a week to see it happen.
Eh. Got my subtitle issue worked out. Had to quit and re-open the browser so they'd show correctly. And yes, that kid needs a super-powered boot to the head.
So I got around to watching Mahoutsukai no Yome since I read the manga. The opening does not fit with the tone the series is going for, at least at the beginning. It looks like it belongs to some dark fantasy epic.
A rose by any other name would smell as sweet Unless I grew it. In that case, throw it in the trash. Will be looking into making a thread for Inuyashiki because mother of sociopaths, that kid has some important screws loose. Truly, One Piece fans are the worst. Next episode cannot come soon enough. I need Gramps to show up this cheeky brat.
Despite how disturbing and fucked up the whole situation was that One Piece scene had me rolling at how relentlessly black the comedy was. So if she had answered "Sanji" instead of "Zoro", would he have killed her on the spot?
My Megaman and MegaTen liveblogsDynamic Chord is weirdly fascinating… With all the minimalistic dialogue and lingering shots, you'd almost think they're trying to build an atmosphere or something, but it's painfully obvious they're just desperately trying to save a nonexistent budget. It's quite comical that a show called "Dynamic Chord" has very little music and is pretty damn static.
edit: Inuyashiki Episode 2… Yikes, One Piece fans are scary indeed. Between that and Superman being stuck in traffic jam, this episode takes black comedy to a whole new level.
And, err, is it me or Shishigami's voice actor is doing his best Mamoru Miyano impression? Seriously, I thought Light had changed his hair color for a moment…

Flippé de participer à ce grand souper, je veux juste m'occuper de taper mon propre tempo.King's Game. I saw it was getting dubbed so I gave it a whirl. After seeing the King's Game several times in other media I'm intrigued by the idea of turning it into a Death Game. I don't know if I can stand the MC though. On another note I've found that the anime is adapting both the original King's Game and its sequel. I didn't fell lost while watching without that information but it will be useful going forward.

It's So Bad, It's Good IMHO. I've been watching the sub and the melodrama has made it hilarious for me.
I can see where you're coming from. Most of the drama in the first episode came from the MC being dumb, so I can expect a lot of that in the future.

The only thing from last season I'd comfortably call "exceptionally good" is the second half of Boku no Hero Academia S2 and maybe Owarimonogatari S2.
I guess the Mahoutsukai no Yome OVA counts as well, since it wrapped up during the season. I'm not sure if that's better watched before or after the currently airing series. Maybe somebody more familiar with the source could weigh in?
