Always Chaotic Evil seems a misleading name for a trope about a race thats naturally predisposed towards evil. Time and time again, I see “Chaotic Evil” used as shorthand for an evil race by people on tvtropes, not familiar with it. And Time again on discussion pages or edits, I see people saying but they’re “Lawful Evil not Chaotic?"

Chaotic has nothing to do with the trope, monsters in Dn D are just as likely to be Lawful Evil or Neutral Evil anyhow. Orcs, the Trope Codifier, are listed as Lawful Evil in most editions. It seems like the only reason Chaotic is in the title is the belief that Chaos Is Evil.

Due to this, I suggest something like Naturally Evil for the trope name.

This could also make it clear that its about a race not a profession or individual.

If anyone thinks this name change might mean changing too much, I'm open to suggestions.

Please read Administrivia. How To Do A Wick Check, and do one. Since your are saying that the name is ambiguous, you need to demonstrate misuse based on confusion over what the trope means.

I will leave this thread open til Monday morning to give you time to do the wick check, @Monsund. If there is no wick check by then, or it does not demonstrate that the name is causing confusion, the thread will be locked.
