Poor Image: Nightmare Fuel.The Nightmare Before Christmas

The current image is pretty blurry, and if you don't know the context, it's a little hard to tell what's going on.

It could also be considered a spoiler. It not only shows the villain's death, but reveals his nature as The Worm That Walks, which is kind of a secret, although maybe most people already know about it. I asked on the IP discussion thread about this, but never got a response, so I decided to just try starting a thread.

Now, for suggestions: Jack has an affinity for Nightmare Faces, so maybe one of these? [1]◊ [2]◊

If we still want something with Oogie Boogie, maybe one of these? [3]◊ [4]◊

Finally, how about this? [5] Simple, but is it effective enough?

Of those, I prefer the 4th.

I think either one with Jack is the scariest. The Oogie Boogie ones look like he's choking on blue energy, and the One Hiding Under your Bed is kinda small and not as good quality.

Of course, I'm only an elected official, I can't make decisions by myself.

4 and 2 work for me.

1.4 > 1.5 > 5 > 1.2

Something about bugs just affect me more, and spiders? Eek.

So, no one has any trouble figuring out what's going on in 1.4? I honestly wasn't expecting that one to do so well.

I'm not entirely sure, but I don't like any suggestions either.

Bigger (and hopefully clearer) version of 1.5◊. Does this help at all?

I think "objectively having features of scariness" is better for NF page images than "subjectively scary to me personally", and the Monster Under the Bed is a classic kid fear. (And in 5 the bed is apparent.)

Bugs and the dark are both standard scary things. "Something under the bed" is also a standard scary thing. I'm fairly confident in saying that that's why these characteristics were included in the movie as their own things (Oogie Boogie being made of bugs, the atmosphere being very dark and gray, and the one hiding under your bed in the opening song).

Of all of the images for the one hiding under your bed, 5 is the most clear because you can see the bed.

Images 2 and 5 are pretty good.

I'm leaning towards 2.

I see what you mean. I was thinking the face alone could work, but showing the bed too makes it more clear that this monster is a case of Things That Go "Bump" in the Night, as well as adding a touch of Adult Fear.

5. The One Hiding Under Your Bed would be my first choice from the OP, but that one was too small. 5 is much better.

2 and 5 both look really good IMO. Though if I had to pick one, I'd lean towards 5.
