San doesn't qualify as an Action Girl per the trope. Maybe Olivier Armstrong? 1◊, 2◊, 3◊
I have a couple options in mind; Riza Hawkeye, from Full Metal Alchemist, and Amy Rose, from Sonic X. I figure the former makes the "action" part clearer, and the latter makes the "girl" part clearer. (Er, no offense.)

A couple to add to the list:
Misato Katsuragi◊ from NGE
Motoko Kusanagi◊ from GiTS
Spiral out, keep going. If just holding a gun is enough to demonstrate an action girl, I'll toss in Revy from Black Lagoon.
I'm thinking more along the lines of "holding a gun in a way that makes it appear to be held correctly." (I avoided Guns Akimbo screenshots of Riza Hawkeye for the same reason.) To me, that screenshot makes it look like she's holding it wrong, but maybe that's just me.
7.4's a good contender.
The main reason I suggested the Olivier pics is the emphasis on the sword in each one and what's going on in each...a static pose with a gun doesn't get the "action" part across as much as the character actually doing something.
I was more thinking in mid fight/attack type thing, even a Faux Action Girl can make a pose.
Too bad is in use on the franchise page, I think it would go good here◊
Not bad, but it's a bit busy with the light effect.
Crowner's hooked.
This one never got bumped; so I'll let it run for another day or two. Three in the green, two in consensus range.
Okay, this is looking clear. The new pic's up and tagged (potholed right?); caption?
Hearing nothing, let's lock up.
