    • Alexandra Ponte is enstated as executive chief, and oversees the formation of the new government.
    • Dumas Aldrich is enstated as military chief, and begins development of simple defensive structures.
    • Pierre Perigold is enstated as exploration chief, and spearheads further exploration of the Amarian Archipelago.
    • Archibald Norgood is enstated as economic chief, and fosters trade with Holos.
  • Durians from the Amarian Archipelago prove surprisingly popular with the Holosians, who begin cultivating them in Holos.
  • Salkian inquisitors reach Holos, and are immediately rejected.
  • The Salk Empire begins mining the Salkian Craglands for ores.

  • Amarr explorers find rich copper deposits all around the islands, and bring them back to Amarr. Scientists from Nervera, Holos, and The Wanderers are all invited to Amarr to study the metal, for a small entry fee.
  • Salkan Inquisitors are respectfully declined access to Nervera.
  • King Salk looks for a wife to produce an heir.

Hopefully someone does.

  • A wildfire destroys a small part of the Soclari Plains.

  • The Wanderers perfect the skill of archery, and start getting a large surplus of meat in their travels. In addition to growing a bigger population, they trade this for more purple dye, and copper arrowheads.
  • King Salk sends a letter inviting Chief Minister Ponte to his court. Others in Amarr view this with skepticism.
  • Holos, using bought copper tools, brings in massive harvests in the fields. In celebration, they make a holiday Jeres to be celebrated on harvest, in honor of the God of Farming Jeresic

983 BCE:

  • King Salk sends gifts of rare ores and directly asks for Chief Minister Ponte's hand in marriage, as well as union of her nation into the Salk Empire. Ponte declines. Salk continues to send gifts periodically throughout the year, but the marital and political requests become increasingly akin to demands and threats.
  • Amarric expeditions into the Amarian Sea yields the discovery of an island with an active volcano.
  • Nervera combine copper metallurgy with their old weaponry to create spiked clubs. This evolves into the development of battleaxes near the end of the year. Armed with new weaponry, Nerveran huntsmen begin hunting the red mammoths that wander between the Soclari Plains and River. Their tusks become popular commodities.
  • A potent strain of parasitic fungus kills many of the walnut trees in the woods north of Holos. Clergymen declare it the wrath of a fungus demon toward Holossisus, while Holosian scientists begin developing the idea of environmental conservation.
  • The amaranth researcher (whose name has been lost to the annals of time) begins to show signs of physical and mental deterioration. This is now believed to be a result of constant exposure to the anomalous amaranth causing accelerated aging. He puts his research on hiatus to recuperate, but his worsening speech impediment and poor handwriting makes communication of his research difficult.

  • Holosian clergymen are sent out the crop fields of Holos to preform a ritual on the crops to prevent the demon from entering the fields.
  • A group of inquisitors happen upon The Wanderers walking through the plains. When they denounce the old gods in favor of King Salk, they are greeted by arrow fire. Only a few escape.
  • A young Holosian wanders upon Spirithome, and finds the researcher bedridden. He starts to take care of him and decipher his writings.

981 BCE:

  • Gifts from the Salk Empire cease; messengers continue to be sent to both Amarr and Holos declaring them nations of heathens.
  • Civil unrest occurs in Amarr; those who have been converted by Salkan Inquisitors denounce Ponte as leading her people to ruin by denying their god and refusing to capitulate to the Salkan Empire, while those who still worship the Old Gods or are atheistic are adamant about maintaining independence.
  • Outraged by the slaughter of his inquisitors, King Salk sends a small contingent of armed soldiers to locate the Spirithome.
  • Wanderer Tribe researchers in Nervera begin to document strange phenomena occuring during the monument's pulses, such as heightened sensitivity to air movement and percieved spiritual awakening. The potential for humanity learning to cast magic becomes a subject of pursuit.
  • Nerveran pottery proves popular with Amarric aristocrats.
  • Holosian scientists succeed where the clergymen failed, and eliminate the fungus with potent fungicides. Religious beliefs in Holos begin to shift away from over-reliance on the gods and toward human self-reliance.

I'll join in!

980 BCE

  • Ponte begins to isolate herself, at the worst possible timing, having both real and imagined enemies everywhere.

  • Seymour looks for another consort, while Eilik begins to advance military production.

  • A diamond shaped ship appears above the Holosians, and deposits a red haired, purple coated human girl, known as Sigma-239. She extends a greeting to the Holosians, and manages to rouse them into a scientific fervor, before leaving.

  • King Salk eventually finds a queen called Sirene, and promises Ammar as a gift for her, while also planning to nab Ponte as a slave.

  • Holos breaks ties with Amarr, and begins to befriend the Salks, in exchange for fair treatment, and technological exchanges.

  • Ponte begins to purge anyone she suspects of being allied with King Salk, including a disproportionate fraction of her best and brightest officials and military commanders.

  • Nervera largely reacts with appall towards the purges, and quits trade with Amarr.

  • The Spirithome is found. In the resulting conflict, several of the small group manage to escape, reporting directly back to King Salk.

  • Salk names a man named Aaron Chief Builder, and tasks him with building a glorious monument, directly on top of Spirithome, while also lending him an army.

  • Aaron, however, is wary of getting involved in the conflict himself, and tasks a young girl known as Eoli to conquer in Salk's name while he adds things like decent plumbing, irrigation, and more benefits of architecture to Salk's kingdom.

  • The Wanderer Tribe does not expect a massive army to attack, and barely manages to keep the Spirit Home intact.

  • They are reduced to a shell of their former greatness, and eventually Salk is eating from their hands. Slaves are taken, many are dead, but the Spirit Home and the Wanderer tribe live.

  • Just in a much weaker and much less negotiable position, but Aaron (Now taking control of the operation, though Eoli did get the credit for pummeling the Wanderer tribe), allows them to keep their 'primitive' religion.

979 BCE:

  • In exchange for helping them hunt with their mastery of archery, the Council of Laborers, as they have come to be called, allow The Wanderers to take temporary take refuge in neutral Nervera to recover.
  • Many Amarrian citizens, along with some government officials, board canoes and settle on the islands in the Amarian Sea. They declare themselves the true Amarr, ruled by a priest turned leader, Kaiste Polis.
  • Holos distances itself from religion, and focuses on science.
  • Ponte is left as the only part of the government, some executed, some fleeing the Amarian Sea. Amaria erupts into chaos, believers in the Old Gods and believers in King Salk fighting for control of the city, Ponte being one of them. The belief in the Old Gods is currently majority.
  • King Salk, seeing Amarr nearly in his grasp, sends a army to reinforce the Salkan believers.
  • Researchers in Nervera find temporal properties similar to the one in Spirithome. They invite the young Holosian to come with the research and amaranth, with the sickly researcher now dead.
