Talking about the risks taken that lead to the first Pirates of the Caribbeans.

Even other internet commies think he's a moron.
Fanfiction I hate.Does anybody know what's the name of that Pirates Of the Caribbean pop song that the vid makes some jokes about? it seems to be So Bad, It's Good, so I want to see it in full.

1 2 We are what we pretend to be, so we must be careful about what we pretend to be. -KVIt's Jack Sparrow by The Lonely Island featuring Michael Bolton, it's a comedy song. It's not really So Bad It's Good if it's meant to be a joke.
Have you any dreams you'd like to sell? It's a song by The Lonely Island, so it's not at all meant to be taken seriously.

Oh God! Natural light! What's funny is if you listen to Michael Bolton, his first meeting with the Lonely Island is funnier than what's in the actual video.
Michael Bolton "My daughter is super excited to hear I am working with you guys."
Andy Samberg: "My mom said the same thing about us working with you"
... huh, am I the only person who's mixed up Gore Vidal and Gore Verbinski?
I have absolutely no clue who either of those are in the first place. xP
but HOW?That Michael Bolton bit should be treasured. He's good in the pirate costume.
Gore Verbinski is a director who mostly does action-adventure movies. Plus the American version of the Ring and, weirdly, A Cure For Wellness.
Gore Vidal is an author who wrote books like Myra Breckenridge and screenplays like the original Caligula script (before it got heavily rewritten). He’s a very good author (if rather controversial) but he had rather bad luck when it came to his work being adapted. He also acted a little bit and was in Gattaca, apparently.

Not Three Laws compliant. How did you get hold of that? It isn't listed on Lindsay's You Tube page. Like, at all.
Prolly shouldn't link to stuff that's on her patreon till she lists it on youtube. The whole point is she releases it early on Patreon to reward her Patrons and give them early access.
Though if she lists it available for non patron members I guess it's fine...

It's not behind any kind of login wall. I was able to view it there even without a Patreon account.
"Yup. That tasted purple."It's a bit of a gray area, mate. I agree with Ghilz there. Good video, but I wonder why she's not been on camera for the last couple.
She seems to be overlooking the key reason why It and Stranger Things use 80's nostalgia: relatability.
They're both stories about child protagonists, but they're targetted at an adult audience who will have an easier time relating to children from the 1980's than they will to contemporary children.
"It takes an idiot to do cool things, that's why it's cool" - Haruhara HarukoSide note: the Patreon mess is resulting in a lot of creators, including Lindsay, losing patrons. If you can kick in a couple bucks a video, now would be a good time. Apologies if mentioning that is against forum rules.
What sort of mess?
Optimism is a duty.Patreon is changing fees to push all of them on the patrons; it’s gonna hurt patrons who make multiple small donations. A lot of small donors are abandoning the site. Here’s an explanation from the author of A Girl and Her Fed
Follow-up clarification from Patreon about this new fee structure made a bad situation worse: Supporters would be charged separately per instance, which had repercussions if a creator used output instead of time (e.g.: was paid per comic, instead of once a month). Each pledge would also be processed separately, meaning that service fees on the credit card company’s side might be applied.

Yes, I found it, I also linked a video here which explains it more in-depth.
Its a shame, really, I'm one of those small donors who supports lots of creators, and this is pretty hard hitting.
I was not supporting Lindsay because of the confusion over Chez Apocalypse, but I found her new You Tube channel, and I'd consider donating again, but now I'll wait and see what happens to Patreon.
Optimism is a duty.So apparently Lindsey deleted her Twitter. According to Dan Olson it was so she could kind of escape from it. Can't exactly blame her.
Have you any dreams you'd like to sell?twitter is cancer Facebook is the superior option.
Did you ever hear the tragedy of Darth Plagueis the Wise?
Jason Unruhe is the most extreme Leftist I know on You Tube. Legitimately defends North Korea because fuck the imperialist dogs. There are also a few Tankies ie. people who think the Soviet Union, especially under Stalin, never did anything wrong.
