A week late, but another tourney. Since I haven't seen the JP version of the Arms Direct... I only just realized "Biff" is a perky teen boy commentator in this version rather than an MMA sports commentator. :)

And also DNA Man/Helix gets slime on the opponent's screen with that specific "glove".

So that tournament I linked, apparently did show some alternate colors like brunette Ribbon Girl.

Today's update on Twitter shows an alt color of Master Mummy as well as a short video on the Megaton weapon.

I was expecting the arms (or should I say "ARMS!") to be used as a swing, but that is cute too.

Hoping for a new character reveal soon too. Those are always fun.

I'm kinda sad there's likely only 1 more character; after all 8 seems like a good roster size to end it with...

Better question. what if there is are secret characters with Urban Legend of Zelda levels of convoluted unlock requirements?

I believe that when people saw those extra characters during that bit of the ARMS segment in the Nintendo Direct, there may have been four more. One of those was Helix, so there are a few left to go.

Helix and Min Min profiles:

This flexible fighter is an experiment from ARMS Laboratories, Inc. (word has it they’re leaders in ARMS research). It’s not just his arms that are elastic either – Helix’s entire body can shrink and stretch at will! With such strange properties, he’ll certainly make for an interesting opponent…

Min Min – “The Ramen Bomber”

Combine martial arts with delicious ramen and the result is this noodle-wielding fighter! Min Min is known for her spicy kicks, which she uses to knock down enemy attacks while dodging in mid-air. When she wants to heat things up a little, Min Min’s left arm can even transform into a dragon!

Master Mummy is a swell guy.

I do wonder if these animations point to a story mode. There's no shortage of backstory.

I knew we were getting one. Hopefully it has a lot of features to make this a well-rounded package.

I fucking knew it! I mean, they weren't being particularly subtle about it, so basically everyone else knew it also, but I still knew it!

Also, hooray for a new direct! Maybe we'll get two more characters, if not the rest of them.

Nah. the ARMS are just hand replacements anyways, so we should be Handsies.

I dunno, Ribbon Girl and Spring Man imply the prosthetics are for the titular extremities as opposed to merely the hands

So reminds me, where'd their (lower case) arms go?

Did the characters* lose them? Are they* hiding it in their shirts somehow?

Are they* actually all robots? Are they* all androids specifically designed with no (lower case) arms so that they can use the extendo-prosthetics?

(*Mechanica and DNA Man excluded)

Or is this all explained in an "obscure" social media post I haven't read?
