I would really like to see the definition of Cambell's Dragon, just The Penultimate Challenge strikes me as chairs and prone to misuse especially in Video Games.

Yes, the winning option (Option B) gives instructions for us to refine the definition of "penultimate challenge for the hero" in a new trope that has a more intuitive name via Trope Launch Pad. Campbell's Dragon will probably be similar to what we end up with.

To swoop in after most of the discussion has already occurred...
Maybe a long-term dedicated project for all things The Dragon related (including tropes like It's Personal with the Dragon, Dragon Ascendant, Co-Dragons, etc.)? The manpower is dependent on whether there are volunteers or not, and cleaning up over 13K wicks in a short amount of time would require a lot of manpower. But you don't need a crap ton of manpower if the project is stretched out.
Another issues would be the longevity of the project. There seems to be a bunch of dead and recurring clean-up efforts from TRS threads that came to a decision but didn't sustain the longevity of the effort after the TRS thread was closed. Maybe a dedicated and varied clean-up project can help with this issue for this particular problem? I mean, a random troper who really likes Co-Dragons (or whatever related page) might contribute to cleaning up that article and its wicks more than cleaning up The Dragon, and that doesn't seem too bad?
I just think projects with more than one trope are more attractive to repair, but that's my personal opinion to be taken with a grain of salt.

Made a sandbox for the new definition. It's a pretty simple definition, so it's kind of short at the moment and I don't know how long it needs to be. Second opinions, revisions, and expansions are appreciated since I don't exactly have a lot of free time to fine tune this.
Somebody needs to start a TLP for the old definition.

About the Sandbox.
It says The Dragon is the Evil Counterpart of the Number Two. I was under the impression that it was the Evil Counterpart to The Lancer, with Number Two being their Super-Trope. Is it, or did I miss something? Depending on the relation we could add The Lancer as this tropes Good Counterpart.
We could also move the current page quote and image to the sandbox unless anyone has any objection. We can also add that they tend to be a Foil to the Big Bad. And should The Creon be on this list since it's not a villain exclusive trope like the others?
Finally, any objections to having others edit/add to the sandbox?

I used Number Two because that's what the crowner said, though using The Lancer as a comparison might be more applicable.

I dont know if The Dragon is The Foil to The Big Bad they can be but they very much could just be a smaller version of said big bad.

For what it's worth, coming into this thread was actually the first time I've heard of Campbell's name, or his definition of the dragon.
I can't speak for the whole userbase of this wiki, but when I see a trope that keeps on showing up in almost every work page (like this one), and they seem to have a consistent usage, I see no real need to actually visit the trope page.
