I know. I know. The original topic is closed. But I'm going to make a plea for the "Meta/Non-Canon" pages, because I think there's valuable things on them. I don't think they're end-arounds of the Fanworks page, but that they use meta/non-canon works to give Alternate Character Examples, and why things that may not seem funny, or awesome, or any specific crowner to one reader might be exactly that kind of thing to another reader.
In general, I hate seeing any kind of example cut like that, because I think it diminishes the wiki. Don't like Noncanon works? Close the folder or don't go to the page.... but leave it there for the rest of us who do.
Otherwise, I'm starting to think cutting works for notability is only another small slide down the slope we're currently on.
It's not about notability. We trope discrete works, not loosely organized collections of fan content. And there's a long-standing rule that tropes for fanworks go on articles specifically for those works. If it can't get a discrete article, it doesn't get troped.
"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"What some people decide is worth reading and discussing on a given work isn't what you've decide, that's fine. But until it actively gets in the way of people enjoying and exploring a work, it shouldn't be cut (and when you decide that, you should start nuking YMMV tabs, too). That's why there's folder controls, that's why they are on separate pages.
There's a number of fanwork pages that got their start because people saw them on the meta pages and grew to like them.
Until then, you are actively complaining about things that people think are worth sharing, and you don't. That's you deciding they're not notable.
Unless we're actively up against a hard drive budget (and we've had kickstarters so that wouldn't happen)... there really is room for it.

The question of whether these pages are appropriate has been settled. We're not here to serve as a reference tool for people sharing fan works.
Again, subpages for a work should only have tropes for material that is part of that work. Not for derivative works that are not official/canonical. The existence of a "non-canon" subpage is oxymoronic (save for one case discussed earlier where it was being used for material that the author published and later retracted).

"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"So... Undertale non canon stuff gets cut, but Overwatch and League of Legends stay untouched? I mean... if everything gets the axe, I'd be less bitter. As it is... Actually, I'd prefer it if we kept all the Non-canon stuff as well, not just Undertale. There's a wiki called Namu Wiki in South Korea that functions as the Korean counterpart to Tvtropes. It has even looser policies than this site seems to have, both in the description and regarding fanworks... and it's the third largest wiki in Korean. The other two are both of the official Wikipedia family. Although that may have to do with the fact that we don't have fan wikis so we use that as well...
Everything is getting cut. It just needs people to put in the effort to move as much stuff as possible to the right places. And we don't give five flying fish fucks what a Korean ripoff site does.
"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"Yeah, I get it... It's just that it seems unfair that seemingly only Undertale got nuked, but do what you have to do. In fact, I feel more offended that you called Namu Wiki a ripoff. It really isn't.
I assume you guys will get to those pages I mentioned eventually?
Oh, btw, does this mean that the fan works in Awesome Music are going to be erased too?
One of the tricky things about a wiki is that things only happen if people do them. If you want things to happen, the easiest way to guarantee that is to step up and do them. Don't think of us as "you guys". You're part of "us"! You—yes, you—are just as capable of cleaning up and cut-listing those other pages you want us to get rid of as any of the rest of us.
Speaking words of fandom: let it squee, let it squee. Is all this really necessary? I mean, yes, it's important to separate canon from non-canon, but why go through all the trouble? There are Non-Canon based pages, right? I've seen Non-Canon pages for Disney movies like Big Hero 6 and Zootopia. So why not make Non-Canon pages for something like Undertale, which has had fan content subpages ripped from their respective pages because of this? Is there a reason some works have Non-Canon pages and others don't?

Link to TRS threads in project mode here. You can put it under Fanfic Recs if you like.

~Fighteer suggested that Characters.Albedo Erma Felna EDF Non Canon be moved to Characters.Albedo Erma Felna EDF Steves Reality Check, which will involve changing 9 wicks. I suggest that the Character subpage for VideoGame. The King Of Fighters should be broken into Characters. The King Of Fighters EX and Characters. The King Of Fighters Maximum Impact. Link to TRS threads in project mode here.Alright, so I went and removed some of the redlinks that were still on several of the pages listed, but as I visited the funny moments page for Steven Universe, all of the non-canon stuff was moved there. Not my fault nor my idea. Just so we're clear, does that count towards moving non-canon stuff whenever necessary?

Xbox/PlayStation: IndiGhost77 | on semi-hiatusNo, that would be like putting moments from Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows on The Valley of Fear, completely inappropriate.
Link to TRS threads in project mode here.Is it okay if I move the Steven Universe non-canon pages to the Steven Universe Amino?
What's amino?
The Protomen enhanced my life.On a related note, the ImageLinks. That Guy With The Glasses consists only of fan art. Is this allowed?
It's not not allowed, but is a bit suspect.
"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"Double Post: All articles from the original post have been cut. Is there anything else to do on this project?
"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"Mentioned previously, the pages were cut, but the information "saved" by moving to the canon subpages.
Link to TRS threads in project mode here.Okay, that needs to be corrected as per the instructions in the OP. I'd be nice to wrap up a projects thread for once. "Short term", my arse.
"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"
Noting that The Loud House Non Canon has four pages.
