Uh, can this be really, really trusted? Because if, so... "Infinity Train — ongoing"

[up] Some of the info is outdated and there's some spelling mistakes, but the guy who runs that blog used to work on the Animation Guild and has a lot of contacts in the industry.

That blog leaked some shows before they were announced in the past, so I wouldn't take it lightly. Plus, I think there was some other evidence of Infinity Train getting picked up for a full series.

Cancelled for X-Men and FF cartoons? Sounds like bs...

Yeah. This one just got going.

I mean, has it been doing poorly compared to Ultimate?

Yeaaaaaah, not buying it either. Marvel's Spider-Man just started and Spider-Man Homecoming will still get a sequel, no way they'll cancel it now just for cartoons about property they just now recovered and who don't even have MCU movies announced yet. Also, cancelling three shows to make way for two new ones? Yeah, right. Unless there's a third show planned, I don't see how that make sense.

No one actually said that they will make Fantastic Four and X-Men shows instead, they just said that cancellation has likely something to do with getting rights to them.

"So I’ve heard that this show along with Avengers Assemble, and Guardians of the Galaxy are ending. While I haven’t been watching, it feels like this show just started. It wouldn’t be the first time Marvel cancelled cartoons due to a change in business logic. I’m guessing this has something to do with the acquisition of X Men and Fantastic Four."

Still sounds kinda unlikely but I'd be lying if I said I would be against that.

I hope Marvel's Spider-Man stays if the rumors have some grain of truth. The other two I'm not as invested in.

It'd be really weird to cancel Marvel's Spider-Man since it just started, and takes place in what seems to be a totally different continuity from the other series; wouldn't it just be easier to have Peter meet up with, like, Mr. Fantastic in Season 2 and fanboy and stuff while Reed just goes "yeah uh-huh that's nice Perry".

Also, I'd like to point out there were rumors Avengers Assemble was getting cancelled multiple times and they almost always were false.

I'd kind of expect the shows to reintroduce the characters since Marvel has their film rights again in a ridiculously unceremonious fashion, in such a way that they're going "we didn't try to bury these guys for the last three years. honest." while awkwardly trying to get out of the room.

I hope Reed Richards does show up now, though. Just so the focus on science can go into maximum overdrive.

1. As I pointed out before, this isn't just some made-up rumor, this was notified by someone who actually worked in the industry and has contacts in the industry. Only the F4/X-Men thing is pure, baseless speculation, and that came from a random forum, no the blog I linked to.

2. If you guys are honestly surprised they'd be willing to cancel a cartoon right after it just started, look into how Beware the Batman was treated by Cartoon Network sometime. tongue

3. It's still getting another 26 episode season. 52 episodes is still a strong, healthy number. Other cartoons have had shorter runs.

Yeah, because people who actually work on projects never lie nor make wrong statements by mistake.

That was Cartoon Network. This is Disney; so far they haven't cancelled any Marvel cartoon unless it was to make way for new shows. Heck, USM was the first Spider-Man show to not get prematurely cancelled.

So yeah, I stand by my point this is fake. No way they are cancelling it that early unless it's really doing poorly with the ratings. Speaking of which, does anyone knows about that part?

Ya know while I always thought that the whole science shtick is so hamfisted it becomes annoying having Reed fucking Richards himself would be fucking awesome.

The Fantastic Four actually are science heroes especially.

[up][up][up] Why would an industry veteran make stuff up? What's the actual benefit from it? Especially one that has been proven correct about upcoming projects before AND someone who actually knows about staffing and employment within the industry due to working on the Animation Guild.

Also, considering the massive lay-offs, the issues seem to have more to do with Marvel Animation Studios than Disney itself.

I want a better art-style cause I can't stand how ugly/bland Avengers & Guardians are.

I swear every time I see a commercial of those shows I feel they went through the same color filter Man of Steel & Bat v. Superman went through & are stuck with a layer of grey.

I think Marvel's Spider-Man's animation is some of the best of the bunch, but I think the coloring is often way too flat. I think I have more problems with the sound mixing, and the music's tendency to drown out what the characters are actually saying. Especially when Spider-Man's (incredibly obnoxious) Leitmotif comes on.

He could just be incorrect and have made a mistake about the show being cancelled. And again, I see no benefit either in cancelling three shows at once when one of them barely got started. Even Cartoon Network usually had a reason for that- a stupid one, but still. Also, Trolling Creators are a thing.

Also, upon checking the actual source, it's really not clear; they don't specify which Spider-Man cartoon is ending, just "Spider-Man", so for all we know this could be referring to USM, which already has ended. They also specify some of the shows will go on hiathus, hinting some of these info might be blurry.

Still not buying it until I see something official.
