...Twig looks like a precious cinnamon roll, so I'll definitely be giving it a watch.
I have to say, after watching the first couple of minutes of Interstellar, I kinda want to have Mackenzie Foy as Hilda.
Bump.
Okay, as it turned out, the university I study at actually has the first 2 Hilda books (Hildafolk and Midnight Giant) in its library.
So I did the only logical thing and checked them out for a month.
Off the bat, it was kind of surprising how short Hildafolk was. Not to say I didn't enjoy it, because I totally did, but it's really short. Thankfully, Midnight Giant is proving to be a lot meatier in pretty much every aspect.
Verdict: So far, so good. I could only find the first 2 books, but I feel like I'll have to look elsewhere for the others.
Also, I want to give a shout out to the troper Kinswaous for giving some Wiki Love to Hilda's Work page. You rock!
Bump.
Okay, so it turns out that there are quite a few screenshots over at the show's Twitter page.
Can't believe these went right under my nose...
This may become the new Adventure Time!
"We be we baby!"Bump.
Say hello to the OFFICIAL design for Hilda!
I'm seriously digging this. Notice how she looks a lot more like how she does in the comics than in the other screenshots we've seen thus far. (Compare the turnaround above to this screenshot from last month.)
In other news, Luke Pearson's quite happy about it all!

Double-bump, because we've got some unexpectedly big news!
Apparently, from the author himself, they already cast who would voice Hilda!
Meet Bella Ramsey!
And yes, she's Lyanna Mormont from Game of Thrones, so of course I have no idea what she's like at all.
(I don't follow GoT as if it was a religion, let alone have HBO.)

Triple bump, because I did an analysis on the final design for Hilda.
Really though, how come nobody's talking about this besides me? Is Hilda really that unknown or there isn't much to talk about?
I don't think I can really keep up with it like you.
"We be we baby!"Never heard of it before I saw this thread. Sounds interesting though with it being over a year away I can't say I've bothered keeping up with it.
As I already mentioned, I don't follow Game of Thrones very regularly. So when I looked up Hilda's VA, Bella Ramsey, on YouTube, I came across this:
After seeing that clip, I guess you can imagine the surprise I felt when I straight-up thought "that surprisingly badass girl who's not taking any crap from some adults is going to voice Hilda? Yowza."
...At some point, I'm gonna have to stop peeking over that Hilda Twitter page thinking I'll see something new, because 99.99999% of the time, it's practically Lull-ville.
Having said that, here's something by one of the storyboard artists that was retweeted by the official Hilda series' Twitter page!
...
...Gahhhhhhh.
Waiting for anything resembling a trailer for this show or someone (at least relatively) internet famous like Pan-Pizza taking notice of this show is like this.◊

Has this thread piqued your interest for Hilda?
Do you aspire to be a hardcore color stylist for cartoons?
Are you living in Canada?

Ok, updates are still really slow-going, so here!
Speaking of, is Daria worth a watch?
I'd say it is. It's very much a product of its time, but still worth watching nonetheless.
Just a person. He/him.FINALLY! We have an animation test!
From the director, Andy Coyle:
EDIT: Well...this is embarrassing.
There used to be a You Tube video, but it appears to have been removed for some odd reason. No worries (yet), I've already contacted the director via email, so we may get an explanation yet.

Bumping to give an update:
From the Cartoon Brew page I found the animation test:
Actually, out of curiosity, did anyone manage to see the animation test before it got removed?
Yeah. It's done in flash, and I love the slow-in/slow-out timing; it has that Ward Kimball vibe.
Nicely done: "Hey,we created an article so the director could share an animation test with us. Then he pulled it, meaning we just wasted your time."
Your momma's so dumb she thinks oral sex means talking dirty.Well, the 20 seconds some of us spent watching the animation test thought it was worth it.
But I imagine you didn't get a chance to see it?
At the very least, we got this to tide us over...◊

We also have this to tide us over!
More warm-up doodles featuring Hilda, her mum, Twig, some boy and...Steven Universe?
Also, does anyone know anything about a Reprodukt Comics?
Okay, so a funny thing happened last Wednesday...
I posted something of a venting post on my Tumblr regarding my frustration towards the radio silence on Hilda's production.
A few hours after I posted it, I got a notification saying "svga" gave my post a like. I took a look and apparently it's the "random posts" Tumblr for one of the storyboard artists on Hilda!
And of course, I posted about that unexpected awesomeness.
Crazy, right?
Okay, for the uninitiated, Hilda started as a series of ongoing highly-acclaimed graphic novels by British cartoonist Luke Pearson.
But a few months ago, an 8-episode animated series has been announced as coming to Netflix in 2018.
I made a discussion thread for the graphic novel series over in the Comics section, but man, is it lonely there.
So if anybody's familiar with the series or have gotten intrigued by it because you heard it's coming to Netflix, what are your expectations for the show regarding anything?
I personally wouldn't mind hearing Lisa Hannigan as Hilda's mum. It'd be nice hearing her as a regular mom who isn't the embodiment of sweetness and "why must the good die so young-itis". As for Hilda, I'd have to think some more about that...
