So, another "These works make a Shout-Out to another work" trope.
Looking at the examples, some are even questionable, like the one for The Bloody Red Baron.
Opened. Wouldn't mind a cut, since I'm not seeing a trope anywhere, besides Shout-Out.
she/her | TRS needs your help! | Contributor of Trope ReportJust cut it.
If a tree falls in the forest and nobody remembers it, who else will you have ice cream with?I don't know, when varying works across the world are making shout outs to a single specific series I think that is worthy of a trope page IMO.
Personally I like that sorting far better than the Shout-Out subpages a lot better as a fan would like to know what other series are referencing about X series rather than what y series is referencing about other series.
I don't see why this isn't a Referenced by... page. Isn't the purpose of those pages to collect all references to a particular work, just like this page?
Check out my fanfiction!I'm frankly surprised that this never made it on to the Stock Shout-Outs listing. Yes, those pages are supposed to be to specific elements in the referenced works, but some of the pages are pretty general, such as Alice Allusion and Shout-Out to Shakespeare.
But yeah, the Good Grief Another Peanuts Shout Out page in its current form looks like it belongs in the Referenced by... section.
Bigotry in the name of inclusion is still bigotry.^Well considering ReferencedBy.William Shakespeare exists, I'm not sure how useful ShoutOut.To Shakespeare is. The former is supposed to be about the man himself, but if the latter was in the correct namespace (Shout-Out shouldn't be used like that) they would be the same page.

ME!? You want ME to be the director of your Christmas play?!Given that Peanuts is so well-known, I don't think a separate page for references to it is hurting anybody.
That might be one of the worst names for a page I've seen in a long, long time.
Chainsaw it with extreme prejudice.
Hold on, hold on. Some people say cut, some say rename, and some say do nothing.
Do we need a crowner?
ME!? You want ME to be the director of your Christmas play?!Yeah, we can start one up.
she/her | TRS needs your help! | Contributor of Trope ReportI found The Yellow M Shout Out who has the same problem besides being obscure to non-european.
I've made one, and hollered to have it hooked.
ME!? You want ME to be the director of your Christmas play?!It's hooked, thanks.
BTW, your avatar is hilariously apropos for the discussion.
Thanks.
That one's even worse. At least Good Grief Another Peanuts Shout Out has a lot of examples (and from multiple cultures), but it only has 12. I'm not even sure that meets the criteria for a "stock" shout-out.
Do we need another thread for it, or what?

ME!? You want ME to be the director of your Christmas play?!Has it been long enough yet? Three days, not counting weekends...time zones make things confusing.
Calling for the move.
I've moved the page and changed the wicks.

Note left on discussion page. Since it's become a subpage instead of a trope, that's all we can do, I believe.
Closing.

Crown Description:
Crowner for Good Grief Another Peanuts Shout Out
Not Tropeworthy (it won't let me change the reason)
There's seriously no reason this can't be ReferencedBy.Peanuts. It's not about a specific type of Shout-Out or parody anything. It's any reference to Peanuts anywhere.
