As you flip through the newspaper, look through the bulletin board, surf the Internet, or otherwise peruse through your world's equivalent of any of the above, you find yourself confronted with a rather peculiar advertisement.

CALLING ALL BRAVE MEN, WOMEN, AND BEINGS OF INDETERMINATE GENDER!

Are you bored? Do you find yourself in need of some money, or part-time employment, but can't quite stomach the thought of working in some greasy burger joint? Can you handle yourself in a fight? (or at the very least, are completely okay with exposure to mortal danger at a near daily basis?)

Then we want you.

We call ourselves the Trans-Planar Problem-Solving Company (or just The Company for short), and we make our trade in sending people to fix problems and save the day! For a price, of course. Perks of the job include being able to see sights that nobody else on your world will ever be able to see, as well as acquire items millions of years more advanced than anything you might have now, or even things that run on mechanisms beyond your greatest thinker's wildest imaginations!

We have an extremely flexible schedule, too! Upon signing up with us, you can choose between two different options to minimize our impact on your daily life:

Overnight stay:

Stay in our employee dormitories for however long you wish! Scheduling is no issue, for we can send you back home at any point in your native timeline. Want a months-long stay to last mere seconds back home? You got it!

Commuting arrangement:

Don't want to sacrifice the comforts of home? 'Tis no problem at all! We'll provide free transport from your universe to wherever you are needed, provided you keep our existence and your employment with us a secret.

Payment is on a per-job basis, with each participant getting a share of the money (automatically converted into the currency of your choice).

Hi all! Yes, this is yet another one of those mass-crossover R Ps that pop up every now and then. But I'd like to think this one's a little different, if only because the characters are going into it more-or-less willingly (albeit, they don't have to actually take the advert seriously until after they sign their name in for the Lulz).

Allowed characters can be any character from a pre-existing work of fiction. Characters that can go toe-to-toe with Superman are probably too powerful, though (but it is not a blanket ban, just that it has to be looked at case-by-case).

Since this is supposed to be a Crossover RP, OCs will not be allowed. Yes, even if they're from canon settings. Featureless or heavily customisable player characters (such as the P Cs of the Fallout or Elder Scrolls games) shall also be dealt with on a case-by-case basis.

Quite the interesting setup.

However since I'm traveling at the moment, I can't post a complete at least until I arrive in Paris and/or get some time in to get a signup down.

• Name: Mirai Kuriyama
• Age: 16
• Appearance: "How unpleasant."◊
• Universe: Beyond the Boundary
• Personality: Mirai is a shy one, always reserved and often anxious. This does not mean she is weak—her philosophy in life is always 'keep moving forward'. No matter how bad things get, she refuses to give up. She does not trust easily, subconsciously assuming that everyone hates her...but the friends she does make, she will stay loyal to until the day she dies.
• Backstory: Mirai is one of the few remaining members of a cursed bloodline of Spirit World Warriors (people who can see monsters called Yommu and kill them for money) with the power to manipulate their own blood. This cursed blood has followed her like a massive, inescapable shadow her entire life. For much of her life, she has been as an antisocial recluse at best and a dangerous monster at worst. All this changed when she met Akihito Kanbura and joined the small and close-knit Literary Club at her school. Since then...well, let's face it, her life has still sucked. She has been through a lot of drama (including saving the world at least once) and is almost always broke. But at least she knows what friends look like and how to make them. She is easily sucked in by offers of money, and has taken this odd opportunity presenting itself without a second thought.
• Powers/Abilities/Equipment: Cursed blood runs through Mirai's veins. She can mold her own blood into a sword and use it as an extremely potent corrosive acid. Unfortunately, this gives her anemia after prolonged use or hard battles.

Mirai Kuriyama is accepted. Am curious though, and I would like a better idea of her strengths and weaknesses. How corrosive is the blood? Can it eat a hole in a highway or something like that? And is her anemia of the "collapses the moment combat is over" type or is she just kinda sleepy after using the blood powers? (or is the latter for routine combat encounters while the former is for particularly taxing enemies?)

For the corrosive effects, I think the best way to understand it is to think of her blood as kind of anti-life, a bit like antimatter to matter. Put more clearly, her blood is potentially devastating to any organic material it touches. It would do nothing to a highway, but a forest could be killed if she made the effort.

As for the anemia, that last answer sounds best for gameplay purposes.

• Age: 15
• Appearance: Brunette meganekko.◊
• Universe: Medaka Box
• Personality: Willing to die for money, and even more willing to die for her friends. She's generally a sweet, kind girl, but possesses street-hardened cunning.
• Backstory: When she was young, her father ran out on her and her mother because they had incurred a ton of debt, which her mother had to pay off by working herself to the ground. She then decided to earn money however she can; and she discovered that she had prodigious talent in swimming, which she utilized to win prize money from competitions. She would even sometimes push herself to near-death to win. This self-destructive behavior was eventually put to a stop by Kurokami Medaka, who invited her to become the Student Council's treasurer. She accepted... as long as she got paid. Of course, she couldn't resist the opportunity to earn more.
• Powers/Abilities/Equipment:
  • She is a Special, in particular a swimming prodigy, to the point of superhuman athleticism. Most impressive is her lung capacity, allowing her to hold her breath for hours, and can even use her voice as a suppressive weapon. She can also reach a high enough pitch to shatter glass.
  • Very good at crunching numbers, from managing finances to probability calculations in card games.

Here goes:

• Name: Nick Barron
• Age: 42 (Based on age of Adrian Holmes, the actor playing Barron)
• Appearance: Right here◊
• Universe: 19-2, post-Season 3.
• Personality: Is an aloof man who took it personally when his partner is shot in the line of duty. He's passionate about helping his fellow officers in 19-2, especially his ex-wife and his social worker sister. He also tries to get along with his son despite being divorced years ago.
• Backstory: An experienced police officer with the Service de police de la Ville de Montréal or the Montreal Police Service, he returned to duty a few months after his partner was shot during a break-in investigation. Over the time he spent with 19-2, he participated in investigations with and against his fellow officers, especially with those concerning his cousin and his sister. He went after the worst of criminal scum in Montreal, even including his fellow officers. When Nick finds out that his sister's death was linked to corruption within the SPVM , he took it personally against the man who killed her. After his resignation from the force, he went looking for a job in order to support his son and ensure the safety of the only witness who can provide evidence when he came across the ad for the TPPSC in several newspapers in Montreal while his partner stayed in the force to be his eyes and ears. He was offered help to go after the rogue officer involved on the condition that he accept the job as a security specialist.
• Powers/Abilities/Equipment:
  • Law enforcement training, including handling of police-equipped vehicles and issued gear.
  • Can speak English and French (Canadian variant), but prefers to speak English since it was his first language. He can do a Jamaican English accent.
  • Basic close quarters/martial arts training, including first aid.
  • Carries a Ruger SR-762 battle rifle as his main weapon with a Walther PP9Q pistol as his sidearm during his TPPSC duties. For non-lethal purposes, he carries a collapsible baton.
  • Clothes/other essential gear determined based on what the day entails to.

• Name: Nikolai “Warsman” Volkoff
• Age: 27 years old.
• Appearance: Warsman◊ is about 6’8’’. He constantly wears a mask and helmet to prevent others from looking at his hideous metallic face◊. Despite dressing in black, Warsman is a mostly good-hearted person.
• Universe: Kinnikuman, post Scramble for the Throne arc
• Personality: Warsman believes in the power of friendship and tends to be very optimistic as a result. He’s also friendly to other people and often refers to them as his comrades. In the ring, however, Warsman uses a very brutal fighting style on his foes because of his training in the Wolf’s Room, a secret Russian institute dedicated to making powerful Choujin wrestlers. When he truly enjoys fighting his opponent, a rather creepy smile, known as the Warsman Smile, appears on his face.
• Backstory:
  • Warsman is the son of famous wrestler Mikhailman and Natasha Volkoff. Both of them died in his childhood. Mikhailman committed suicide through self-destruction when he accidentally brutalized his opponent in combat, saying he encroached on God’s realm. Natasha died because of an unspecified illness.
  • To honor their memory, Warsman accepted the SKGB’s offer to become a hero for Russia. Through sheer determination, Warsman survived the harsh training. However, Warsman learned that the SKGB was planning on taking on the western hemisphere with their army of robotic Choujin. Warsman escaped and had to fight his best friend Kommandas. Robin Mask showed up and told him not to hold back, which lead to Warsman demonstrating the Palo Special for the first time on the poor Kommandas.
  • With the encouragement of Robin Mask, Warsman entered the 21st Choujin Olympics and crushed every opponent thrown his way. He even placed the most brutal Choujin Ramenman into a coma during the semi-finals. Fortunately, Ramenman received the Mongolman mask from Dr. Bombay and continued fighting for the Justice Choujin, but that's a story for another time.
  • Despite his cruelty towards his opponents in combat, he cared about Bibimbap, Kinnikuman's girlfriend. This came to a head during the fight against Kinnikuman, where Robin Mask viciously attacked Bibimbap, causing Warsman to unleash a beatdown on his master in hopes of getting him to snap back to his senses. This, along with Kinnikuman's refusal to kill Warsman with the Bear Claws, caused Warsman to undergo a Face Turn and join the Justice Choujin.
  • Ever since Kinnikuman achieved world peace by earning the right to the Planet Kinniku throne, things have been tranquil. However, Justice Choujin need to keep their minds and muscles sharp no matter what. By signing up for The Company, Warsman wants to maintain his power even in times of peace.
• Powers/Abilities/Equipment:
  • Fighting Computer: Since Mikhailman was surgically turned into a Robot Choujin before he decided to have children with Natasha, Warsman somehow inherited this trait from Mikhailman. Warsman can scan his opponent for any weaknesses and attack them with frightening precision. As a downside, fighting for more than 30 minutes causes this computer to wear down and weakens him tremendously. If his computer wears down completely, pulling off his techniques can be a real pain as he often forgets how to do them properly.
  • Bear Claw: Warsman stores a pair of retractable iron claws in his arms. Most of the time, he only uses one at time. If pushed hard enough to his breaking point, he'll use both of them.
  • Screw Driver: With a Bear Claw fully extended on his arm, Warsman leaps into the air and attempts to drill into his opponent. There's a more dangerous variant called the Double Screw Driver, where he extends both of his Bear Claws and increases both his jumping height and his spinning speed at the same time. This version causes his fighting computer to burn out more quickly, so it's best used in emergencies.
  • Palo Special: Warsman's signature technique. Warsman leaps onto the back of his opponent, locks his legs around his opponent's legs, grabs a hold of his opponent's arms and attempts to dislocate his opponent's shoulders. There's another variant called Palo Special: The End where Warsman also attempts to push his opponent's face into the ground.
  • Storm Elbow: Warsman leaps onto his opponent's back and repeatedly strikes his opponent's head with his elbows multiple times.
  • Wars Leg Breaker: Only used when his opponent is lying on the ground. Warsman holds up his opponent's legs, locks his legs around his opponent's shins, and proceeds to sit on his opponent's legs.
  • Siberian Snow Storm: Warsman stabs his opponent with both his Bear Claws and attempts to grab them. After performing the Cossack Dance for a bit, Warsman leaps into the air with his opponent and crashes into the ground upside-down, with his opponent acting as a cushion. In an attempt at imitating his teacher's signature Tower Bridge technique, Warsman proceeds to pull on his opponent's head and legs at the same time.

• Name: Postal Dude Jr. (Yes, that is his legal name.)
• Age: 27.
• Appearance: "You probably think I'm not a nice person."
• Universe: Postal. More specifically, his Postal 2 incarnation.
• Personality: Postal Dude can either be the most violent man in the world or as peaceful as a butterfly. It really all depends on how he's feeling that day. Either way, he's pretty freaking selfish. Any seemingly selfless things he does has a motive. He'll stop a bank robbery to cash his paycheck. He'll kill terrorists because he wants their milk. He isn't a nice person by any stretch of the imagination, but, if the conditions are right, he'll do great things.
• Backstory: Not much is known about Postal Dude's past, except for two things. He lives in Paradise, Arizona and has a naggy bitch of a wife. This would be all well and good except he hates Paradise, Arizona and really hates his naggy bitch of a wife. After being fired from Running With Scissors, he needs a new job (which his loving wife is happy to remind him of whenever she gets the chance). It's gotten to the point where he'd do anything for money, but beating people to death and stealing their wallets just won't suffice anymore. So here he is, applying to work for The Company. Unfortunately, this seems to be a place for good guys, so he's gonna have to withhold from brutally murdering his coworkers. Again.
• Powers/Abilities/Equipment: Being the protagonist of a not-shit FPS, Postal Dude is blessed with an incredible Hammerspace. The guy can fit a freaking rocket launcher in his pocket. He also seems to be skilled with basic weaponry and somewhat knowledgeable about more advanced stuff, like a napalm launcher. Unfortunately, right now all he has is a shovel and a pistol. Maybe he'll find more stuff on his adventures.

Well, I tried and that's what matters in the end.

Hi, sorry for the lull. Things were just going slowly so I decided to wait a week or so before looking at this again. Lemme check all the new char sheets first to see if they're viable or not

I recommend putting a list of character you've already approved.

That way, those who signed up will know if they're in or not.

Seconding Omniae. What exactly do you mean by "unreliable canon"?. Can tell us in more detail who you're planning to play and why it might be a problem? If it's an OC found in a fanfic or an alternate version of a canon character, like what I think you're trying to say, then in that case it's no problem. A fanfic 'verse is just as valid as a official 'verse in my eyes. And if it's a character with multiple iterations over the years (e.g. Batman) then just pick one version and canon and go.

Well, I want to do a character from the SCP Foundation. If you are unfamiliar with how SCP works, since everything is user-submitted every reader has to pick which interpretations he takes into his own canon. I want to be one of the researchers that were created as an author avatar for more prominent contributors.
