Well that was one of the most disappointing fights from them in a long while.
Yeah, Sasori never even used his Iron Sand.
Let's see if you can get past my Beelzemon. Mephiles, WARP SHINKA!Hmm, I was expecting this to end with two armies of puppets going at each other. Sadly, one minute is not enough time for that.
Instead, I got the literal opposite result of what I was expecting, considering Sasori is actually a puppet.
I've seen some Youtube commentors make valid points about how severely OOC Alice was in the video and how even a zero-research approach should ended with her decisively winning the match, simply because she's several tiers too high on the power scale for Sasori to ever have a hope of defeating (she's apparently on par with the goddess of the Demon World in the Touhouverse, who is apparently not underqualified for her status).
IMHO, at the very least her nature as an actual youkai (albeit one who used to be human) with actual magic powers who is an occasional co-MC in a world where the MCs regularly duke it out with Physical Gods and win should've handed the victory to her, research or no research.
Fiat iustitia, et pereat mundus. It's not the first time they had the obviously weaker character win. See Cell vs Meruem, Akuma vs Kenpachi, Sonic vs Flash, Naruto vs Luffy, Batman vs Ironman. No reasearch means they have whoever they want to win wins.

Note that it has been stated in the past that Alice holds her powers back so that she doesn't overwhelm her opponents and instead fights with strategy. Even if she were to lose, she would prefer that over using her full power, because it would mean she's the real loser there.
Which does sort of goes into one problem with using Touhou characters which is that the Bullet Hell aspect of the series really put things into their favour. It is really hard to really put that into a battle without making things seem unfair. Heck, the fact that practically everyone who fights in the series can fly is one plus in their favour.
Of course if we were to only focus on fighting games, the battle does really undermine just how good she is with her dolls, as she can manage dozens of them at the same time. And that the dolls can shoot projectiles outside of the archer ones. And that they are filled with gunpowder so that they can explode.
Continue the bloodline, Fujimaru! And then there's Goliath Doll.

Fiat iustitia, et pereat mundus. The most egregious one IMHO is still Ace vs Natsu, and I'm not even a Fairy Tail fan.

I do want to add that while I didn't think the battle was bad per say, I didn't really enjoy the ending. Too dark just for the sake of being really familiar with the character.
Continue the bloodline, Fujimaru!Yeah, that was pretty dark. Then again, this is Sasori we're talking about. His hobbies consist of turning people into puppets.
I demand a rematch because being turned into a puppet is a terrible fate.
Sasori never tried making a puppet out of an inherently supernatural being before; that's my beef with him turning Alice into a puppet so easily. What should've happened is that he gets surprised that this human-looking girl is not human at all, and decides to take her back to his lair so that he can take his time creating his very first youkai puppet.
Fiat iustitia, et pereat mundus.I'd say that the shinobi of the Naruto universe are inherently supernatural, given the whole chakra and ninjutsu thing. Granted, probably not in the same way as Touhou's yōkai, but still inherently supernatural.
They can wield supernatural powers, yes. But they're nowhere near the kind of "inherently supernatural" that true youkai are. That's like comparing ki-wielding humans to angels/demons/ghosts. Only one of the two groups can be exorcised out of (physical) existence; three guesses as to which one it is.
Fiat iustitia, et pereat mundus.Someone's forgetting the moon people that the ninja are descended from.....
Watch SymphogearSPOILERS! I haven't finished reading Naruto yet!
Fiat iustitia, et pereat mundus.I didn't say who they are, but what they are.
Watch Symphogear...for some reason I thought that was an Axe Cop reference.
I'M MR. MEESEEKS, LOOK AT ME!Raiden vs Genos!
Wow, for someone trained by Saitama, Genos really got stomped in that battle. Looked to me like Raiden was leading the entire time.
Yeah, that battle kinda sucked a butt.
My various fanfics.I feel like between this, how he's treated in the actual OPM story and his appearance during the DBZA Cell Games skits, Genos is gonna become another Yamcha.

One Strip! One Strip!I just find it hard to believe that Genos' flame attack barely did anything to that building, even though a weaker version of that move was able to burn through a cliffside in seconds.

Let's see if you can get past my Beelzemon. Mephiles, WARP SHINKA!For once, I have to say DBX was better this time then the OMM.
Okay, what the hell is with that timing?
Raiden vs Genji and Raiden vs Genos I mean... there's a leak somewhere. There has to be.
I'M MR. MEESEEKS, LOOK AT ME!So, our next match appears to be Decapre vs. Painwheel. Place your bets, people!
Ohhh I get the connection now.
Next time is Genos from One Punch Man vs. Raiden from Metal Gear Rising Revengance
Is this another part of pony friendship? Telling each other what you learned all the time?
