Unless I'm getting this trope wrong, this refers to when characters evolve upon reaching certain "levels", in which case Pokémon is pretty much the Most Triumphant Example.

No, that's Evolution Powerup. This is more about phrases like "I am better because my species is more evolved than yours!"
Then the examples are wrong, because Pokémon is listed there.
It may require a check up at TRS. It's a bit confusing.

I would agree with that. Might even be a good idea to table the replacement image talk until the trope is clarified; we'd have a better idea of what images to look for.

Looking through the examples, they're a mess. A lot of them don't match the intended definition. Maybe this should go through TRS before we decide on an image.
